Maison avec piscine au cœur du village, prés de la rivière en Périgord Noir.

Wonderful property and very friendly owners (Veronique and Maxime), we could find no faults at all. Even with no reviews to the gite listing to guide our choice, it was clear that it was situated within an easy drive of all the places in the Dordogne Valley we wanted to visit...and it was. The downstairs has been completely refurbished with a well-appointed kitchen and the original furniture from before the refurbishment. All three bedrooms were of a large size and, again, had all the original old French atmosphere. Each bedroom and the living room area had their own AC units which were very easy to operate and very effective. The pool was a good size and definitely got used to cool down after a long, hot day. Our day to day holiday planning was made easy as Veronique and Maxime had put together a superb booklet detailing their favourite places in the area and were able to give informative advice when talking through where we wanted to go. We should mention how close the property is to the village square and the amenities it has to offer - 30 seconds walk. We mostly used the reasonably priced restaurant, the boulangerie and the pharmacy but there is also a butcher, little supermarket and corner shop. We would have no hesitation in visiting again, Mark and Alison.
