Maison Bord de Mer

😊: Fantastic location. Several of Dieppe's supermarkets only a 5 min drive. Dieppe's center and restaurants a 10 min drive. While the house itself is in a lovely picturesque and quiet village, full of flowers, instagrammable old houses and traffic free walks for our dog. The garden is completely dog proof, with very little external noise to set off the barking. Kitchen has everything. Wi-fi fast and reliable. And the Puy beach is really only a 7-10 min walk, has toilets, ice cream and snacks vans. We were worried about some comments about access and parking. No problems there. Access is via a one way road, but the Owner sent very detailed instructions, even including an aerial view. Parking is inside the front garden, behind the property's gate. Enough space to park and maneuver a bmw x3 comfortably.. 😢: No coffee shops, restaurants or convenience stores in the easy walking distance, nearest we could find was 25 min walk one way. Through pretty fields, so only a hardship if the weather is too hot I guess.

😊: A spacious house with an excellent pool table in a games room. Plenty of deck chairs and patio furniture. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, crockery etc. Bedroom roomy. Living room spacious with comfy sofas. Very pretty quiet village. 10 mins walk down to the beach. The beach was pebbly, full of French families, shower and food kiosks, toilettes but nothing else. The nearest boulangerie in Neuville les Dieppe was excellent with a super friendly lady in charge.. 😢: Only one loo and downstairs - visits in the night involve the creaky floorboards on the stairway. There was a fairly strong kitchen smell - cheesy - that we couldn't locate. A drive to the boulangerie and a fairly long drive to get to Dieppe centre..
