😊: The house was lovely - spacious and well-equipped. The owner has done an amazing development job. He is very talented in creating artistic and functional objects in various metals, and has his own shop in the village. The pool was a great feature of the property as the weather was scorching, plus it helped to amuse the 6yr old, and to relax the adults. The 4 beds were very comfortable. There were several locations where one could sit and eat/drink - both inside and outside. The owner completed fitting a large jacuzzi. The forest behind the house provided wonderful opportunities for walks, and the village was only a 10 min drive to the Boulangerie/Patisserie, the Intermarche, ATMs and cafes. The city of Nevers was only about 20 mins away.. 😢: We felt the house needed a thorough clean when we arrived, so that's what we did. The location and garden was great. Unfortunately, our dog is likely to chase a cat, and there was one in the garden occasionally. This was dangerous as there were no gates on the 3 possible exits from the garden and the house was by the side of a road, which, though not very busy, cars would pass at a fast speed. The other concern was that the drive opened onto an almost blind corner on the road. In order to drive out, you had to ensure there was no sound in the car (eg radio, AC fan), so that you could hear cars approaching. It would be highly advisable for there to be a warning for drivers, that there is a 'blind entrance/drive' on the corner. Unfortunately, we did not bring towels with us, and had not thought to check if they were provided, which they weren't. We were surprised that the host thought that we had to leave by 8am, rather than 10am..
