Such a lovely house We had a very chilled holiday Just what we needed

The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. It was situated at the head of a farm track leading into fields of corn and sunflowers. The gite was spacious and clean and the bedrooms comfortable. It was good to have 2 bathrooms. We really enjoyed using the swimming pool and our youngest liked the swing in the tree! We had lots of BBQs. Only small niggle was that we were unable to find the toaster? Also not enough mugs, we bought some cheap ones and left them behind! All in all a great holuday and would consider a return visit.

We have enjoyed the comfortable, cool house, the beautiful garden with lots of shadow, the large porch and the swimming pool. Everything was perfect!

We spent 2 weeks at this property and enjoyed exploring the beautiful area and countryside. Highlights were visits to the pretty village of Aubeterre Sur Dronne, the city of Bordeaux and wine tasting near Saint Emilion. On hot days we visited the river and lake beaches within 20-35 minutes of the property. The local Lidl and Intermarche are very handy for food. Being able to walk from the property to the little village of Saint- Avit and nearby fields and woods was very pleasant. The property has a large garden, nice pool and is well equipped for smaller and larger groups. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We hope to return at some point.

We visited Eric and Annick's property as a family of 5 (children aged 8, 11 and 13). It was brilliant. The house was clean and spacious, both indoors and out. We all played continual games of table tennis, jumping in the pool and were introduced to the game of Molky - great fun. It is in a great spot if you like secluded area but can walk easily to Sain Avit, drive 2 mins down the road to Chalais (brilliant market on Mondays and a Lidl supermarket) as well as various kayaking, tree top walks and a brilliant river beach at Aubeterre that we visited almost every day.
