Maison de caractère en Normandie

We had a lovely week in Normandy. The house and garden are beautiful, full of character, with a great area to sit outside for meals. The pool was a hit with the children and there was also tabletennis and lots of indoor games to play. The concierge and owners were very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed visits to the nearby town of Alencon, as well as walks in the countryside. All in all, a fab holiday.

As a group of two families (4 adults, 4 children) we spent a beautiful week in Semallé at this magical house. It really is stunning - so much space and all so well cared for and stylish - equipped with everything you could want or need. (We actually couldn't really believe how lovely it was.)The gardens are stunning, with a large above-ground pool, paddling pool, loungers and swings which our little ones loved. We didn't really need to go anywhere, but did have a few trips to Alencon (market day was a highlight) and to a nearby kids theme park. A highlight was barbequeing some incredible cote de boeufs from a beautiful butcher's shop a 4 minute drive away. The check in and communication was extremely responsive yet relaxed - we really felt so welcome and at home. A luxurious and characterful property that made our first holiday with our kids plus friends and their kids totally easeful, fun and special. Thank you to the owners and concierge!

We had the most wonderful stay in the house. Everything we needed was present - kitchen was well equiped, there was a baby chair & bed, towels, bed sheets etc. were provided. We stayed with two families with small children and they utterly enjoyed the children's room where many toys were available. We really had a great stay.
