Maison de charme

😊: The Maison de Charme was well equipped with every kitchen amenity possible. We didn't eat many meals in so did not take advantage of all on offer. The TV remained in the off position! The fans were put to good use with such abnormal high temperatures during both day and night. The location was fine and convenient for the town centre. There were some good cafes and restaurants which we used frequently. The Market on Tuesday was great with plenty to offer. The smaller one on Saturday in Les Halles was also good.. 😢: David (aged 79) had great difficulty with the staircase to reach the upstairs bedrooms and shower. The toilet was located on the ground floor. As he needed to use the toilet at times during the night it was decided that he would sleep on the settee otherwise there could have been an accident! Christine (75) but very fit carried cases etc upstairs. Please note: we have a staircase at home but not as steep and the distance between each step much closer. He had no problems with the staircases on the Brittany Ferry ships or in any of the hotels we stayed in during our stay in France. Finally, we were not really happy having to park our car away from the property but this is not unusual in some of the older towns and villages..

Host was very responsive. Instructions were very clear and the apartment was very clean and well kept.

😊: Excellent value - very comfortable size, well equipped kitchen, laundry, pleasant and clean atmosphere.. 😢: Bedrooms upstairs were hot but that was just a reflection of the hot weather..

😊: It’s just so beautifully furnished and equipped to the highest of quality. Such a delight to just be there. Really convenient for the village too..
