Maison de charme avec piscine et jacuzzi

Where do I start? We were greeted by Bernard, who was extremely helpful. He brought us fresh pastries on our first day, and was on hand to help with any query big or small. The property is nestled away in the beautiful french countryside, but just a 5 minute drive to the nearby town of Monflanquin. The property itself is breathtakingly beautiful, Bernard works hard to keep it clean and tidy. His dog is very cute and we loved playing with him in the grass. We thoroughly enjoyed playing tennis in the nearby courts, and then a dip in the pool. The house itself, has every amenity you could think of, and extremely comfortable beds. We are already thinking of returning next year. We’d like to say a special thank you to the host whom allowed us a late check out after a heavy wedding! Many thanks

We were a group of 7 attending a family wedding in the region. The property was ideal with swimming pool an added bonus of a jacuzzi. The property is located in a very quiet location but has the advantage of being within east commute to both Monflanquin and Villereal, both very nice towns. We had a great holiday and a special thanks to Bernard who was exceptionally helpful as were the owners.

I had a wonderful fortnight celebrating my 60th birthday with my adult children and their partners. We were looked after wonderfully by Bernard who made sure the pool was in top condition enabling us to enjoy the pool to the full. The area is beautiful and very quiet and tranquil at this time of year (June). We had mixed weather but enjoyed every moment including the Music Festival in Montflanquin.

Having missed out on our original trip due to Covid, we were very much looking forward to getting away and it was well worth the wait! The house is gorgeous, in an idyllic setting, much like you'd expect to see on a postcard. The beds are super comfy, the kitchen very well equipped, the pool was perfect. Everything has been really well thought through and Bernard is a true gent, always available to make sure you have what you need. Another sofa would be great in the living area, but when the weather is so good you largely sit outside anyway. Bergerac is a 45min drive away and is a great spot to visit, but with everything you need at the house, you could happily stay there without going anywhere else! Monflanquin is a lovely small village, would definitely recommend booking for dinner as it's busy and the restaurants are small. We leave with full bellies, lots of memories and excitement to come back again! Thank you Axelle and Bernard.

From booking to departure, Axelle and Bernard were the perfect hosts. I had questions before we arrived which were dealt with timely and efficiently. On arrival we were welcomed by Axelle who showed us around but we were in regular contact with Bernard. The villa was perfect for us. Lots of outdoor space and entertainment for our 4 children, they decided on the upstairs room (one for 3 , the other for 1) and my husband and I downstairs. The kitchen area much larger than I had thought from the pictures. We we’re touring France so this stop was for us both to work together which we could do due to the great broadband. We did not see much of the area around us due to work but what we saw we loved. The large supermarket just a 7 minute drive away provided us with all our supplies. Whilst we were in the villa we had the unbelievable heatwave with great temperatures. This did bring out wasps looking for shade which we managed but then Bernard came and checked regularly for us. We also had not one but two times the parasols broke again due to the heat. Both times Bernard managed to fix quickly (I am not sure how!!). The pool was great and saved us in the heat. The jets for swimming were perfect as well. All in all the perfect week. We loved our stay. Thank you Axelle and Bernard. .

Really loved the place. Outdoor spaces is brilliant, warmest of welcomes and you can tell that the owner and Bernard (onsite host) have really thought about what you might need and care that you have a great holiday. Monflanquin is close and a great town with some good restaurants.

We spent a wonderful 10days at Axelle’s lovely Gite. The accommodations was great and well equipped. The outside areas give so much space for relaxing and it is so peaceful. Axelle was very understanding as I changed dates with worries about not being able to travel due to Covid etc. I am so glad we managed to get away to this stunning location. Bernard attended the pool every morning and was on hand for any questions. I would definitely recommend. Be sure to ask about the layout of beds upstairs as this probably works best for family sharing/ teens.

We had a really nice vacation. We spent 3 weeks with our kids ages between 9-11. The outdoor area is wonderful because it is spacious with nice plantation and the kids had the possibility to do several activies at the nice pool, play boule, table tennis, tennis ( the court is a bit old but „works“), or the trampolin. We appreciated the daily cleanse of pool, jacuzzi by Bernard. Who took good care of other things and our requests. Axelle is a warm-hearted person who tries to offer a nice vacation.
