😊: The hosts were really helpful. It was over 38 degrees and they had no problem getting us an extra fan to keep cool. The house doesn't have air conditioning but it was not over hot. Windows open at night and shutters closed during the day. Just common sense. Easy parking with a small car park nearby or on the streets outside the house. We were there in August and never had a problem finding a space. Great bar open the corner of the street with lovely owners and you could get a late night glass of wine. One of the few places in Domme.. 😢: Nothing really. I would stay there again..

😊: Gorgeous traditional cottage with original features and modern fixtures and fittings. En suite double bedroom full of character, and 3 single beds with a second bathroom on the top floor in the loft. Loved watching the swallows and house martins fly close to the windows. Fantastic location in central Domme, a beautiful old bastide town in the Dordogne. Really friendly owners who live next door. Very clean. Everything you need for self catering. Free parking available with the resident permit (provided) in a number of nearby car parks. Lots to do nearby.. 😢: We really loved it, despite the heat wave which meant the top floor was extremely hot at night! Fans provided to help, and if you follow Cathy's advice to keep windows and curtains closed in the day the old stone keeps the house an acceptable temperature..

😊: It is a lovely house in a gorgeous town with a garden for our dog. The hosts are really nice and friendly.. 😢: The garden has some building equipment in it which wasn’t a problem for us as the dog loved having a garden but it is worth being aware of ahead of booking..

😊: The house is surprisingly spacious, with a lot of athenticity and at the same time modern comforts. With my 1.98 m, I even fitted under the shower with room to spare! The owners were nice. The location really is in the heart of the the village, meaning that you can't park in front of the house, but there are other options nearby. The walls are thick, so I'd expect the house to be cool enough in summer. The environment was quiet, all I heard from outside were the birds.. 😢: The light coming from the naked bulb above the dining table was a a bit harsh to my eyes - I'm mostly writing this to stress how virtually perfect this place is. My best experience with such houses so far!.

😊: I’m struggling with the 9.1 rating. The apartment was nicely furnished, however I didn’t realize there were three floors and two sets of narrow stairs. The kitchen was adequate. You will need to bring your own coffee grounds and filters for the coffeemaker. It is close to everything in Domme but it is not a large area and note that there is only one restaurant open on Wednesday. We were not aware of that but it was a good pizza place.. 😢: The patio area is not depicted well, it looks on to a workshop that has lots of stones and masonry machines..
