Maison de pêcheur rénovée - situation idéale - Barfleur

I can't say enough great things about the house, the location, and the kind hosts. We stayed about 7 weeks. It was myself, my wife, and my father-in-law who is over 80. We discovered a new hobby - collecting beach glass! Naturally, over such a long time a few issues come about like a failed dryer but the host was ultra-fast as fixing it, great communication. The neighbor is the local contact - Mrs. Lavergne and her husband, she speaks good english and was able to assist with several things really outside the boundaries of a host's responsibility and we are very appreciative of their kindness. The stairs are a bit tricky, but my father-in-law was able to do them - if slowly! It was very nice having a ground-level second bathroom - especially for him. The enclosed rear patio was really nice, and incuded a nice small shed which was perfect to keep our bikes out of the way. It was perfectly clean, all amenities that we would want, very accurate description. In my opinion, you can't do better.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place is ideal for a family of four. Our kids (17 and 13 years old) had each their own room. The kitchen was well equipped and we used it frequently. Barfleur is well situated for excursions to many interesting places nearby. The best beach bar of the country is just 15 minutes away: „Le Goeland 1951“ in Reville. We will definitively come back!

Barfleur und dessen Umgebung ist echt einen längeren Aufenthalt wert. Wer Abwechslung schätzt, kommt auf seine Rechnung. Stätten, wo Geschichte geschrieben wurde, Natur pur für erholsame Wanderungen, bezauberndes Städtchen mit Hafenanlage, wo Ebbe und Flut ihres dazu tun, Buchten mit Sand zum Sonnenbaden. Das Haus ist sehr zweckmässig und wohnlich eingerichtet. Der Sitzplatz, windgeschützt, ist einladend. Einkaufen und Restaurants liegen gleich vor der Haustüre.

Das Haus war groß, hell und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Die Terrasse bot genug Privatsphäre und schützte selbst vor dem an unseren Urlaubstagen starken und kühlen Wind . Bäckerei und mehrere Restaurants waren fußläufig erreichbar und ein Parkplatz direkt vor der Haustür immer zu finden.

Nous avons passé un excellent Week-end dans cette jolie maison de pêcheur, qui est très bien équipée et idéalement située près du port et de ses restaurants, séjour répondant à nos envies, randonnées autour de Barfleur dans un très beau cadre. J'espère y revenir très vite, merci à Wiebke et Jérôme

Cadre tres agréable et reposant. Tres bien situé dans ce beau village. Hote bien accueillant et discret. Sejour au top avec une decouverte du Cotentin en 5 jours sous le soleil. A refaire sans hesitation.

Gite cosy et cocooning au calme. Decoration agreable et gite tres bien équipé. Bonne literie. Accueil chaleureux par un couple tres sympathique et cadeau d'accueil qui fait plaisir. Situation au top entre mer, port et commerces. Je recommande ++

This house was so charming and fit our family well. We rented three apartments in Barfleur while we were there for D-Day, and we got the best accommodations of the three. We were able to host extended family for dinners because of the spacious, well-equipped kitchen and common area. The house is as lovely in person as it is in the photos. The neighbor helped us get settled and answered questions throughout the week for us. Jerome returned communication quickly. We would stay here again and strongly recommend the house, especially to families.
