Maison de vacances

😊: Location great for overnight stop on the way south. Visit from representative of owner after arrival to explain arrangements which was helpful. Outside space was excellent especially for the dog.. 😢: Bedrooms a bit drab.

😊: On arrival, the house appeared welcoming and clean. The pool and garden area was perfect. The sheep would come up to back fence to see us and children. We made the most of our time here and enjoyed our time as a family.. 😢: It quickly became apparent that the cleanliness of the house was really poor. Clean on the surface, but you could see clumps of dust/dirt. Smelled of cigarette smoke. The bathroom had to be cleaned before we could use it. The towels, and bedding were old and grubby. Some towels were ripped. The inflatables they advised were for kids, but all were burst. Luckily we had our own, and left them for the next guests. The hosts provided a cot but i ended up using our own travel cot as i didnt trust my baby sleeping on old grubby sheets. Bbq was rusted, couldnt use it. There is a spiral staircase in living room, however upstairs is out of bounds. With a duvet shoved in it to put u off going up (i wonder if they use this to sneak in from their adjoining home). I slept very poorly because of this. Before we left, worktops and dishes were cleaned, rubbish taken out, beds stripped, floors brushed. We were only there for 3 nights. On depature, the owners shouted at us that the place was not clean, demanding more money.... Before they had even entered the property. Tbh, what we had paid was more than what this property was worth. The hosts became verbally aggressive and threatening in front of my 3 young children. My wife had to tell the woman to remove her hands from her on one occassion. They were clearly out to try and get more money from us. The woman advised me, they do not get cleaners in to clean between guests as it costs money and guests should clean everywhere before they leave, including windows and oven. Demanding that i clean windows as the 1 year old had left some handprints. 🙄 If u do book, take photos of all damage and dirt on your first day.... They are out for all they can get. We have stayed in various accomodation over the past 2 weeks in both the uk and France and the rest have all been perfect. The cleanliness of this place was of the lowest standard. They put a claim to booking..

Attention cependant à bien lire l'annonce pour ne pas être face à une grosse déconvenue : la piscine n'est ouverte qu'à mi juin. Booking le notifie dans une rubrique en petit et en anglais. J'avais loué spécifiquement pour la piscine pour la famille, une grosse déception pour tous. Ce n'est pas du fait des propriétaires je précise !<br>#128577; A revoir, la propreté des coussins du salon extérieur très tâchés
