Maison de vacances au calme dans un environnement exceptionnel

Excellent location, a lot of privacy, very quiet. The house is very well equipped with everything you need. Bernard is incredible host - very kind, always with a big smile, very discreetly managing the surroundings and the swimming pool during the very early hours. He invited us for a drink which was almost a dinner with very nice local products and truffles. Will very much recommend!

We have just spent the most wonderful week at Bernard's gite, ‘Les Mauves’ in the tiny, pretty village of Berbiguieres in the Dordogne. Bernard is a delightful host, friendly and welcoming but discreet and respectful of the privacy of his guests. The gite is well equipped, clean and comfortable and the pool is beautiful and completely private; deep and long enough to do some good swimming and surrounded by trees and flowers. There are numerous walks through woodlands, chateaus and spectacular caves (les grottes) to visit and all within very easy reach of the gite. The small, hillside town of St Cyprien is about 4k away with its narrow streets, restaurants and shops. There is so much to see and do but we found ourselves spending long periods of time enjoying the seclusion and peace of the gite and it’s surroundings. We hope to visit again soon.
