Maison de village restaurée avec goût, terrasse ensoleillée donnant sur jardin de l'église

Der Empfang ist mit einem Schlüsselsafe gut geregelt. Vor dem Haus kann man nicht parken, da die Innenstadt nur aus schmalen Gassen besteht. Vor dem Cafe des Sports ist allerdings immer Platz (bis auf den Markttag). Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Tolle Betten und eine große Couch. Die Küche ist groß, könnte aber ein wenig mehr an Ausstattung gebrauchen. Die Lage ist super zentral aber ruhig (die Kirchenglocken läuten nachts nicht, beginnen aber um 7 Uhr wieder). Frühstücken kann man im Cafe des Sports, die großartigen Croissants dazu kauft man in der wunderbaren Boulangerie. Nachteilig waren hauptsächlich zwei Dinge: der sehr unangenehme Geruch aus den Abflüssen in den Bädern und die mehr als unbequemen Terrassenmöbel.

Pippa was wonderful. We had difficulty with our transportation and she was very helpful and accommodating. She also gave us personal guidance in getting to see the Tour de France while we were there. The home was clean and tidy. It was extremely hot during our visit so we really wouldn't have been cool any place without air conditioning. Our only complaint is that the upstairs toilet emitted an odor both day and night. Perhaps a venting issue? This is something I hope they correct in the near future. But overall, a lovely stay in Sablet. Pippa and her husband were super.

We loved lunch at the café des Sports and enjoyed wine tasting at the Maison des Vins. Pippa was very helpful and gave us lots of recommendations for places to go - we will have to come back to see more of this lovely region.

Sablet is a charming village tucked into the countryside, surrounded by vineyards. Although it's a perfect holiday destination, we enjoyed that the village is a proper working village, rather than just a tourist attraction. Going to the boulangerie every morning to pick up breakfast was a real treat. The house is situated in the heart of the village near the top of the hill, and is full of character. The kitchen is very well equipped, there is everything one could need and we also enjoyed BBQing on the terrace. The surrounding area is very beautiful. We brought our bikes with us and found that the cycling in the area is brilliant. There are a choice of flat routes and hilly routes, and we even managed to summit Ventoux. We had a superb holiday here and would definitely come back again!
