La Maison des Cèdres makes for a lovely home base to explore Occitanie and specifically the Pyrénées-Orientales area. From the colored Mediterranean town of Collioure to the Banyuls wine region to the mountain towns of Duilhac and Castelnou and Céret you will be spoiled for choices. It's a very comfortable house with luxurious, clean en-suite rooms and a well stocked kitchen along with a Pyrenees style outdoor grill. The pool is a short walk down a leafy path away from the house which offers a nice second area to hang out to beat the heat of the day. Tristan was responsive and friendly for all our interactions with him. Recommended!

Our family and friends had a wonderful three week stay in the Villa Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts (near Céret) august 2021. The villa is exactly as pristene as the photo’s show. Being a guest here leaves nothing to be desired. Spacious family rooms with stunning historic features and a tasteful modern interior decoration, a modern fully equiped kitchen, five beautiful large bedrooms with each a clean and big bathroom, a cave a vins and a practical laundry,… We also thoroughly enjoyed spending apero-time and cosy evenings in the spacious loggia (front porch)… In short: staying in the villa feels like staying in a five-star hotel. Large doesn’t even begin to describe the beautiful natural surroundings. Although the villa is situated in the town of Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts, with pharmacy, bakkery, pizzeria,… at walking distance, we have had a complete sense of privacy, courtesy to the big garden and woodland surrounding the villa. The beautiful pool is conform every safety measures and has its own sundeck, which also provides shade for those who want it. Tristan Viala is a very friendly, helpful and coöperating owner. He keeps on top of the plants and pool, making sure everything is as you would want it to be. No question is too much. He is also a very interesting source of information about the region. His background in hospitality makes him the go-to man for good adresses for wine- and foodshopping and restaurants. The region is simply amazing. The views from the villa to the Pyrenees are stunning. A 25 minute drive takes you to the beaches of Argelès-sur-Mer, Saint-Cyprien, Port-Vendres, Collioure. Also near are cities as Perpignan, Céret and Amélie-les-Bains, Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste, … higher up the mountains (plus Pic du Canigou, the sacred mountain for the Catalans). No matter if you’re looking for a cultural, sportive, natureloving, citytripping or beach-holiday, Villa Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts is a perfect base for it. Summerizing: we have absolutely loved our stay in Tristans amazing villa Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts and we would ab-so-lu-te-ly recommend it!
