😊: Lovely house with lots of space, character, comfortable beds and great location. Staying over at friends feel. Great to include safe parking too. 😢: In need of some maintenance throughout, shabby but mostly functional. Only one toilet to share. tight gate to get through to park the car..

😊: The location. Availability of street parking. The property looks nice from outside, has a character to it.. 😢: Overall, the stay was disappointing and did not meet expectations for a Booking.com property in Paris. Upon arrival, we found a mismatched set of cutlery, which we initially could not locate as it had been placed in a drawer under the dining table, requiring us to contact the host for assistance. In the kitchen, there were only four coffee cups, all of different sizes, and the coffee machine handle was broken and held together with a ribbon. No microwave was provided. The freezer was full of the owner’s food, and the fridge also contained items covered with a towel. When we raised this with the owner, we were asked to remove some of the food ourselves to make space. The bathroom was particularly poor and appeared very dated, likely not having been renovated for many years. The toilet had an old flushing mechanism and visible limescale buildup. The bathroom door also had no proper handle and had to be pulled shut using a dirty string. The bedroom conditions were also substandard, with low-quality bed linen and no proper wardrobes provided. Storage spaces were filled with the owner’s belongings and had no doors, only curtains for concealment. Personal items belonging to the owners, including family photographs and pictures of children, were displayed throughout the property, making it feel less like dedicated guest accommodation. A table in one of the rooms also had various personal papers and clutter left on it. Overall, the property felt poorly maintained and not properly prepared for guests, giving the impression that the family had temporarily vacated it to accommodate paying visitors. The garden was not well maintained, although it was not overgrown. There were so many issues that it felt pointless contacting the host, as there was no realistic possibility of resolution.
