Not the last time we visited Coutainville

Stayed for one week, enjoyed the local neighbourhood and the beach and went for day trips. All the family loved it, the house is both beautiful and functional, we cooked and went to the nearby beach often. Boulangerie is not far away, that is a great advantage also. Considering to come over again. Suited marvellously both adults and teenagers in the family.

We had a fantastic stay here in July with our three teenage children and our dog. The property was perfect for a family holiday - although the stairs might be tricky for young children or those with mobility issues. The garden space was a real bonus, secure for the dog, private and nice seating areas. The house is just one street back from the beach, and a short walk from the sailing school - we hired kayaks one morning. There are several bars and restaurants very near by and even more choice a slightly longer walk away but the pedestrian promenade along the seafront is perfect for walking. There are some excellent bakeries and shops as well as 3 markets per week if you want to eat in. The supermarkets are good too and the U express n particular has lots of local produce. The house is very well equipped for eating in. Mirjam is a very helpful hostess too. We hadn't realised that we needed to pre-order and pay extra for bed linen but she sorted it out immediately for us on arrival. Our dog loved the beach - he could enjoy the one in front of the house early morning and late evening but dogs are welcome any time of day at the beach by the sailing school - a very short walk away. We had an amazing relaxing beach holiday with excellent local food and drink and would highly recommend it.
