Maison familiale, de ville à d'Etretat

While Franck seemed very nice, he may be unorganized. VRBO said he would contact me 3 days before arrival. Not hearing from him, I called the day before. I did not receive a text he then said he would send. Knowing the address, we found directions on Google. We had to call Franck again to determine how to get into the house. All very confusing as the photo of the front is not where you enter. Several things in the VRBO listing were false or misleading. Most importantly, amenities listed include parking. There is no parking on the property. Street parking costs $45 for 5 1/2 hours IF you can find a spot. Another traveler told us about a lot nearby for $10 a day. There is a washing machine, but it is across the alley and a neighbor has the key. We never saw an ironing board. We were charged a cleaning fee even though housekeeper is listed as included. Photos of the interior are accurate, but a photo of the narrow, winding stairs was not included. We are very mobile for early 70s, but many people would be apprehensive. House has 3 floors. 1 bedroom and bath on 2nd floor, 2 bedrooms on 3rd. Bedrooms nicely decorated and linens nice. Plenty of dishes, glassware, pots, etc. 2 dishwasher pods but no dishwashing liquid or hand soap to get started. A Dyson vacuum half full of dirt and a pair of old slippers and other junk was stuffed in a corner of the kitchen. Other of Franck's renters knocked on our door with similar problems locating their apt and thinking free parking.

Great location. We could walk every where. Short 10 minute walk from town parking lot.

Traditional town house in the beautiful town of Etretat. Minutes from the beach, cafés, bars and restaurants- a superb location. The house was dated in some areas, but totally charming. The bedrooms were bright and spacious with immaculate bed linen and comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay and the warm welcome we received from Franck.

Cuisine bien équipée , manque juste quelques petites cuillères. .L’ensemble est d’une propreté irréprochable , le linge de maison nickel , merci à la personne qui assure l’entretien . Faites comme nous enlevez vos chaussures à l’entrée. . Le propriétaire est agréable .Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Haus hat uns gut gefallen. Die Schlafzimmer sind neu ausgestattet, mit sehr guten Betten und genug Stauraum für unsere Kleidung. Das Bad ist geschmackvoll renoviert, klein aber fein. Im geräumgen Wohnbereich gibt es alles, was das Teenagerherz begehrt: Einen großen Fernseher mit Apple-TV und eine starke Bluetooth-Box. Für Unterhaltung ist also bestens gesorgt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Der Gastgeber war über WhattsApp und Telefon gut zu erreichen. Er hat uns bei allen Fragen schnell geantwortet und gut geholfen. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr gut, zum Strand sind es nur wenige Minuten, die nächste Bäckerei ist gleich gegenüber. Einziger Manko: Das Haus hat leider keinen eigenen Parkplatz. Zum Aus- und Einladen kann man direkt am Haus parken, zum Abstellen für längere Zeit haben wir den kostenlosen Parkplatz am Ortseingang genutzt. Der ist in ca. 12 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Wer viele Ausflüge unternehmen will, sollte das mit einplanen. Alles in allem haben wir eine sehr schöne Zeit in Francks Haus in Etretat verbracht!
