Maison familiale pour 8 adultes et 8 enfants

This home has a lot of plusses such as location and some finishes but also many minuses. It was wrongly listed as 3 bedrooms. It would be considered a 2 bedroom at best by American standards. There were only 2 toilets and neither was en suite. You have to go out into the hall to get to a toilet from a bedroom. The towels are small, very old, worn out, and don't dry. Washcloths are not provided. You have to beg for heat which is remote controlled off premises by the owner who doesn't speak English. We were 3 married couples. The place would have been well suited for 2 couples. But a lot of space for 2 couples. The vegetation was much more overgrown than was shown in the VRBO listing. Centrally located between Reims and Epernay. Vineyard view was nice.

Thierry’s house is amazing. Beautiful, well maintained, with a lovely garden. The location is perfect for exploring the champagne houses of both Reims, Epernay, and everything in between. There is one drawback for groups of friends like ourselves: the neighbors are very sound sensitive. Thierry has had to hang dB-meters inside and outside, and we still got complaints from the lady next door even though the dB-meters indicated no high sound levels. It did slightly restrict our feeling of freedom, so take that into account when booking.
