Maison Gite House Proximité Mont St Michel, Cancale, St Malo, Dinard, Dinan

Accurate property description and photos, and good comms pre-stay. Also reasonably priced. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped converted barn with a huge garden. Hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful. House is well-located to visit Brittany landmarks including St Malo, Dinan and (just over the boundary into Normandy) Mont St Michel - but you do need a car. Would definitely recommend.

Our hosts lived in the adjacent property but were very discreet and helpful when needed. This house was in the middle of the countryside but close to the local town Dol de Bretagne handy for shops and restaurants . We chose this property because of its location, close to a large campsite where our daughter and family were staying.. The house is very comfortable and roomy. We enjoyed a couple of family meals and barbecues together with my daughter’s family, there was plenty of room and place to play.

We stayed at this lovely property for two weeks in July. The weather was fantastic and we enjoyed sunbathing on the decking and barbecues on the terrace. Inside the property has been converted recently to a high standard with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The shower was lovely and the beds very comfortable. There is a great big fireplace in the living room and I would love to stay here in the winter as I imagine it would be so cosy. We are generally self sufficient when we go on holiday but the owners live next door and were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The property is in the heart of the countryside and there was lots to watch as the farmers moved hay bales and cows around their fields but it is a very quiet location with only a few other houses around. The nearest shops are in Dol de Bretagne, which is about 15 minutes drive away. There are a selection of local shops and cafes in the high street as well as a couple of supermarkets, we used SuperU which stocked everything we needed. We visited a couple of seaside towns, Dinard and St Malo, both were lovely but I liked the beach at Dinard better. We also visited Mont Saint Michel, which is definitely worth a visit. Overall I would highly recommend this property for a holiday in Brittany and wish it was nearer so that I could visit again.
