Maison historique familiale 300m de la mer Sword Beach

😊: Pretty much everything, the location is excellent. Whether you're touring the D day beaches, or just looking at a beach holiday in north France, this fits the bill. Due to our poor French, we didn't understand when we were told that the previous owner was a local D day hero Leon Gaultier, who the road is named after! I wouldn't hesitate stopping there again. There's almost everything you could need in the house.. 😢: It would have been nice too have a kettle, us Brits need our cup of tea..

😊: Excellent communication with regard to checking into and leaving the property. Superb location for history, hosts extremely friendly..

😊: We traveled as a family with two children and were very pleased with our stay. The house was perfectly clean and had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The place has a special atmosphere, which adds to its uniqueness. The hosts were incredibly friendly and hospitable! We were greeted with a lovely gift of water and small jars of sweets, which was a very kind gesture. We definitely recommend it!. 😢: No Wifi.

😊: Theo house was lovely, big enough for our 6 person family. Great location and hosts. I would reccomend!. 😢: Nothing.

😊: The accommodation is ideally located 10 minutes from the ferry terminal. It is in a great location, 10 minutes walk from the beach and about 15 or so from the centre of Oustrieham. There is everything that you require in the house which is in a fairly quiet area. Contact with the owner Maxime was good, we needed to change our arrival date and this wasn't a problem. The accommodation is ideal for exploring the WW2 Normandy battlefield sites.. 😢: The only issue we had unfortunately was the address on Booking.com is not correct. I did note a comment regarding this but didn't follow it up. This resulted in it taking us over an hour to find the house and this was only because Maxime came to find us. He apparently has informed Booking of the change of address however this is not shown on the site. Apparently the local council have renamed and numbered part of the road and the address is 62 Boulevard Leon Gautier, Oustrieham 14150 and not 102 Route De Lion. All be it that Route De Lion still exists!.
