Maison indépendante 7 minutes RER B

😊: The only good thing was knowing there was a metro nearby and Orly airport not too far away.. 😢: The photos are misleading; the cleanliness is terrible, the washing machine is broken, there's a water leak near the entrance, some water heaters are broken, and the shower stall is broken............

😊: Pretty litlle house located 10 mins from RER B Baconettes (30 mins by train to notre dame, ticket can be purchased from the station and costs 48 euros for 10 one way journeys). Near that train station you'll find an excellent Aldi and a Bakery, plus other little shops - We only realised this on the last day. The house has wifi, all the amenities (washing machine, wifi, goid pressure shower, tv, xbox, microwave, oven, fridge), a green garden (bit overgrown, but nuce to have in the summer), table and chairs. Is located on a quiet street, with parking in front.. 😢: The house is good value for money, clean & basic. Has an xbox 1, tv, very good wifi. However, is not a posh house - so be mindful that the house has wooden flors at 1st floor - quite noisy. Also, bring mosquito protection under every form - turns out you can't have enough of it. I'd stay again here, good value for money and very responsive hosts..

😊: Good location, well equipt, quiet area, could be a really little gem if better maintained.The bed in the main bedroom was comfortable, the bunk was not really however. The games console was a great hit with our son!. 😢: The host left us feeling very vulnerabke after I contacted them about the cleanliness of the property and was quite rude in response to my message. The cooker and fridge were not hygeinic and the rest of the kitchen (inside drawers, cupboard doors etc) were below expected standard. I had to clean for 2 hours before it felt acceptable.. The host's response to this was to offer us a full refund, but we would have needed to leave the property immediately (this 'offer' was at half past 9 at night, knowing we had an autistic child with us, having only just having arrived in Paris). We had no choice but to stay and I had to moderate my responses to the host as I was worried they were going to insist we left anyway, leaving us stranded at night in Paris. Aside from this, the overall upkeep of the gardens and property were not as the photos suggest. The gardens front and back were Very overgrown, the front porch canopy falling down, a damp smell (reminiscent of wet dog) all through the entrance area of the property. In general, it is desperate for some tlc to bring it back to what it could be. (Pics of fridge below and back garden).

😊: The house is spacious and located in the quiet zone. You can definitely rest without disruption.. 😢: We find that one of the towels still not well dry when we arrived. There’s no rugs in this house. The mattresses are not comfortable (much too soft). No blind curtain in the living room. The floor upstair is too noisy every step of walking. The bunkbed is not stable and noisy. The door at the back side cannot be closed and locked well, so we found 3-4 snails in the house in the raining day..
