😊: Communication by the host and Booking.com was awful. That needs saying up front but is dealt with later. The big double bed was fantastic - the best we've ever slept in, including our own. Firm, comfortable, huge! Overall, the 2 floor accommodatiion was spacious and well provided for, including a parking space outside the door. Once you'd found the code, internet was fine. It was an excellent place for an overnight stay, close enough to the N/S motorway. But..... 😢: First things first. 6th October 2025 I booked the accommodation - Trivago then Booking.com. It was confirmed by Booking.com who paid in my money. Then it wrote another email saying "Please note that your request is not guaranteed until the accommodation has confirmed it". ie they are taking money without knowing if the accommodation IS available! The host did not reply to 3 direct messages nor 4 phone calls, so we travelled 500 miles in hope. Finally, having found the address, and stood outside the front door, we phoned twice more. As with the other calls, the first went through to messaging (none or which had been returned) the second was answered. So, after much hassle, we obtained the number of the key safe and began our stay. No thanks to Booking.com or the host. SORT YOURSERLVES OUT! It should not be for us to chase the host when Booking.com has accepted our money. Backing to finding '26'. The address given is "26 D619, 10200 Lignol-le-Château". Google Maps & Garmin were defeated until we experimented with 26 Route National 619,10200 Lignol-le-Château. 45 minutes wasted after a day's drive going to phantom locations proposed by SatNavs. Both the awful communication & useless address (lacking any directions) left us frazzled before getting in. Inside, there was no 'welcome file' giving information about the apartment, how things worked, local amenities etc. So, we had to search around for the internet smart box then find the password. Nothing was coming easy! Upstairs in the bedroom & bathroom, there was, as with the kitchen, no handsoap nor shower gel though towels were provided. And the decor, mainly in the bathroom was incomplete. Were it not for the best bed we've ever slept in, our ratings would be far worse! Lignol-le-Château is a nice small town. But it has no shop, cafe etc. Google Maps took us to Bar-sur-Aube a 4 mile drive which had all we needed..

Vive l'Aube, vive le Tour...<br>#128578; Logement très complet pour un court séjour. Une place de parking se trouve devant le logement. Le prix est très correct pour un logement pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 4 personnes.

😢: Despite messaging the host numerous times and calling the number the host was unresponsive. Check in time was 4pm as advised in the property details and as communicated by myself. We arrived at 4pm, still no contact by the host as to access code for the property. Called Booking.com to assist. They replied back to me at 10pm with the access code! The host replied at 5.45pm with the access code. We had to find somewhere else to stay after travelling for 10 hours. Very, very poor service from the host who you cannot contact and nowhere mentions a automated message being sent at 5.45pm, nearly 2 hours after 4pm check in. The rest of the family had booked the apartment next door and had the same problem. They too had to find somewhere else. We expect a full refund and a change to this hosts communication..

Voortreffelijk<br>#128578; Het huisje was heel proper en gemakkelijk te vinden met de instructies van de eigenaar. Voor het kleine huisje waren veel faciliteiten. Het is goed uitgerust. Je kan parkeren voor de deur. Leuk dat we er champagne konden kopen. Prijs/kwaliteit een echte aanrader!
