😊: Good location and close to the airport. 😢: Has 3 bedrooms but not really suitable for 6 adults (sofa couldn’t fit everyone). Had curtain rails above front and rear doors but nothing on them meaning no privacy (people walking by could look in) and couldn’t watch TV properly as sun shining on it. Despite strict cleaning instructions for tenants and significant charges, didn’t appear place had been cleaned properly when we got there..

😊: The house was ok. 😢: We had a really bad experience at this home travelling as a family of two adults and 4 children. The house is ok, but the real problem is the host. The hosts- on arrival there were no towels at all. When I contacted the host, they said I should have specifically emailed them to tell them I would be needing towels and that towels are an extra cost of €8 per set. I explained that both the booking.com listing and my confirmation email listed towels as included. They then did not respond until departure where they reiterated that towels were an optional extra. They also advertise free wifi but during our stay there was no wifi network available. I asked how we could connect to the wifi and had no response. The house- the house is fine but a very poor design in hot weather. The living area has large windows at both ends with no curtains. The sun shines through and the heat is trapped within. It is hotter in the house than outside so during a heatwave the house doesn’t drop cooler than 35 even overnight. There were also no dishwasher tablets, only a tiny amount of hand soap in one of the 3 bathrooms, not enough toilet paper and the recycling bin was completely full on arrival and wasn’t emptied until the day we departed, so we had to stack recycling inside the kitchen. It’s also worth noting that this area is quite far from the main town and sights to see in La Rochelle. I would not recommend anyone stay here. You may not encounter the same problems we did but one thing is for sure- if you do have any issues the hosts will not help you at all..
