Maison Mondou

😊: Amazing property with the feel of a real home. We loved the photos and pictures on the walls and felt privileged to be able to share the family space for a week. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. We loved the pool and seating area with a view across to the small lake. At night the wildlife took over and we were charmed listening to the dusk chorus of sheep, ducks and frogs. The location was super peaceful and allowed us all to relax completely. Patricia the property manager was very helpful, as was Nick who looked after the pool and grounds. Overall this was a fabulous place to stay for our family group of 7 adults.. 😢: There was a lot of games equipment but sadly no croquet as advertised, and no table tennis table. We had planned some interfamily sport activity - but in the event it was far too hot to do this so we didn't miss it! Note that the stairs up to the bedrooms are quite steep so need care if you are not so nimble. The beams in the bedrooms are low and caused more than one minor injury! It would have been helpful to have some local information provided (e.g. restaurants, shops), and to have instructions on how to dispose of rubbish..

😊: A very spacious family home of great character and charm. The location is so peaceful, with fabulous views from the pool and terrace, and yet within an easy drive to Villeneuve with all its amenities and is a good base for exploring the region by car. The kitchen was well equipped and a large store cupboard contained plenty of food basics/herbs & spices. The annexe is a great bonus for independent guests. There was good communication from the agents and easy access via a key box. We would very happily stay here again..
