Maison périgourdine traditionnelle familiale près de BERGERAC

This is the ultimate place for boosting your body and soul. Our family (2 adults and 2 grown-up children) stayed one week in this wonderful stone house which is located in a serene landscape with fields and woods. The house has a large welcoming garden with fruit trees, flowers and trimmed hedges, as well as several terraces with outdoor furniture where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the Dordogne region with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. There is a very nice pool for a refreshing dip and a covered patio for al fresco dining. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated, including five bedrooms and a large sitting room with a great ambiance. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a big table for a breakfast buffet. Fresh bread requires a 10 minute drive and a selection of well-stocked supermarkets is available in Bergerac. All places of interest are within one-hour drive but it was always good to come back to the house in a quiet corner of Dordogne. The owner, Mathieu is very gentle and helpful, despite our limited knowledge in French. We warmly recommend this house and we will certainly come back for a new boost.
