Maison Roccia - Welkeys

😊: Property itself is good. Large place with enough beds for 8 people.. 😢: Welkeys. A €1500 deposit for a €750 booking is simply wrong, plus you get charged €12 for the privilege. Worse is that this happens through a third party called Swikly - via a link sent by email. This goes against Booking dot Com’s own guidelines which states not to provide credit card and sensitive details this way. They also want you to upload a passport photo. No no no. They provide a “concierge” service, where someone meets you to let you in and take you through the house setup. They are also supposed to meet you at the end and be available throughout the stay. Ours did not meet us at the end, and later that day our deposit credit card was charged €30 for a part missing from the pod coffee machine, which we used twice. I contacted the concierge, answer took more than 2 days, and Welkeys who wrote back same day stating we had to talk to Swikly. At Swikly we had to complete a form online challenging the claim. They contact Welkeys who simply said the claim is correct. Asked Swikly for proof. They said talk to Welkeys. I think you’re getting the picture now… Went back to Welkeys who sent us a photo of the pod which was complete. Then they said the clear tray (which was in the photo) was missing. None of this was making any sense. Sadly after this nothing. Haven’t heard from them in a few weeks. I write all this in case others have, or have already had, a similar experience. It really soured our stay. Particularly given the concierge was supposed to come at check out and if there was a problem we could have alleviated all of the above. Poor form Welkeys. We also contacted Booking dot Com but have had no reply..
