Maison Rossignol: Nr la Gironde avec NOUVELLE piscine chauffée dans un endroit idyllique

The house is brilliantly equipped and in a fantastic spot for visiting all up and down the coast and inland to Saintes, Pons etc but you could easily while the time away in the pool looking at the views!

We have just returned from a wonderful two-week holiday at Maison Rossignol. The house is exactly as described, comfortable and relaxing, with everything that you would need to make a pleasant stay possible. It is located so that accessing all the local places of interest is easy. The icing on the cake is the fabulous, heated pool, very welcoming after a day out in the unexpected September heat. The hosts David and Joanna are very proactive and a small issue with the pool cover was dealt with immediately. Maison Rossignol is ideal if you want a relaxing, quiet break in the countryside, but close enough to more comprehensive facilities.

What a fabulous holiday house! A characterful property in stunning countryside with a wide range of amazing places to visit, assuming you can tear yourself away from the pool. We went for a family holiday and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house is incredibly well equipped with plenty of space for the 4 of us, including the well tended and attractive gardens. The hosts were very gracious and great at communicating. Can't recommend highly enough.

We had a wonderful, relaxing two weeks at the gite. It is very well kitted out with everything you could need, or want, including loads of games. We spent most of our time in or around the pool, as our three kids loved it. We were a little nervous about not having air-con with the heat in the mid 30s for half our stay, but following David's advice with the shutters, the house was amazingly cool! We really enjoyed Jonzac, with the night market a highlight, as well as the restaurant Comptoir Du Marche. David was very attentive and made sure we had no issues during our stay, as well as suggesting things to see and do. Wish we were still there!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Charente Maritime and our stay in Maison Rossignol. Both the indoor and outdoor facilities are fabulous - particularly the private pool and the pool table. The kitchen is well resourced with everything you need away from home. The master bedroom and ensuite are outstanding. Thank you for sharing your beautiful gite with us.

Schönes Haus, das liebevoll eingerichtet ist mit allem was man braucht. Der Garten ist sehr groß und ebenfalls schön gestaltet. Man hat absolute Privatsphäre und kann sich sehr gut erholen. Die Gastgeber kümmern sich gut, die Kommunikation war vor, während und nach dem Urlaub absolut einwandfrei. Besonders toll fand ich das nette Welcome-Package und die sehr ausführliche Anreisebeschreibung sowie Hausbeschreibung mit kontaktlosem Empfang!

We had a great experience staying in the house. The house was well apportioned, the beds were really comfortable with good pillows and duvets, and the two toilets and bathrooms were well equipped. We really enjoyed the swimming pool, although we did struggle a bit getting the cover off the first few times. The information provided is very useful, and we tried one of the restaurants on the list. We headed to Blaye a few days, both to take the ferry over to the Medoc region, but we also had dinner a few times up in the old citadel, which we recommend. There was a nice welcome pack for us when we arrived, and the owners were very responsive. At some stage there was a problem with the lights in the second bathroom, they advised us of that and that they hoped to have it fixed before our arrival, and they then contacted us again before arrival letting us know that the issue had been fixed. We would definitely consider the place again if we were in that region.

Situated in a peaceful relaxing area with well kept gardens and beautiful views. Ideally situated to enable travel to La Rochelle Bordeaux and various other towns and cities but there was so much to see we could not cover it all. Swimming pool was great and kept to a comfortable temperature for our daily swims. House was comfortable with lovely decoration and was clean and tidy. Everything you needed was there to provide a great experience. Will definitely be heading back and will be recommending to family and friends.
