Maison, Selles Saint-Denis

Lovely family, beautiful home. There was a big lake so there were many musquitos and other stinging animals. We could not lay by the pool or really hang out outside because there were so many of them. Also there’s wild swines which are dangerous, and rats coming from the lake… I loved the home but these things we would loved to know before booking this house.

Very well equipped house as well as many outdoors facilities (swimming pool, ping pong, pétanque, trampoline etc…). perfect for a large family.

We had a wonderful stay with our whole family for two weeks at the property. It was a perfect set up for both adults & teenagers, a great base to visit the abundance of things to do in the area. The hosts were so welcoming & friendly, going out of their way to help with anything we needed, including booking an appointment at the local vet to check our dog passport before the return journey. The pool was very clean and we spent many hours reading a book in the sunshine under the shade. I would highly recommend the property for families and as a perfect location for visiting the many beautiful chateaux in the area. There’s plenty to do - we could have easily stayed for longer. Thank you Diane we will miss you!

Our first trip to the area, we, a group of 5 grown ups. 3 young adults and 2 children stayed a week in this lovely villa. Mme D'Halloy, Diane, and her family were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Even before we arrived we kept in contact so that I was aware of the set up and what we needed to bring with us. Check in was easy, we did a walk around with Diane and she was happy for me to contact her at any point during our stay if we needed anything. It did rain on and off during our stay but we made as much use of the pool as we could. The swimming pool is a few minutes walk from the villa, but we had a beach/pool bag with us to carry a drink, change of clothes, towels etc...There is a place to change next to the pool and we left our inflatables in there rather than carry them each time. The villa itself was spacious and enough seating for meals at the dinning table, for congregating at rainy times and snuggling up on the sofas of an evening. There is a TV, however we did not make use of it, the majority of us were either playing board games or reading. The rooms are well laid out and the bathrooms provide good showers/bath with hot water available throughout the day. Plenty of outdoor games available- table tennis, petanque, badminton equipment, trampoline and sand box. Ample parking on site. Lovely walks that lead either around the lake, to the river or through the woods. Loads of outdoor seating provided. We all had a fantastic time.

Super moment en famille (10 personnes de 6 à 76 ans). Nous avons pu profiter du gite mais aussi et surtout des extérieurs très agréables, en pleine nature et avec de nombreux équipements qui ont ravis petits et grands (trampoline, Ping Pong, BBQ, pétanque, transats…). C’était parfait.

Très bon accueil. Maison et annexe parfaites pour 10 personnes (pour notre part 3 générations) Environnement très agréable et reposant Nous avions 4 petits enfants de 4 à 7 ans qui ont bien profité des équipements extérieurs

Habitant aux 4 coins de la France , nous avons choisi ce lieu pour Noël et nous en sommes tous très satisfaits ( belle et grande propriété) ..Échanges trés sympathiques autant avec la propriétaire qu'avec la personne qui nous a accueillis . Envisageons d'y revenir pour une autre occasion !!!

We have just spent a wonderful week in this very classic French house, shared it with our friend and had 4 teenagers altogether, very much enjoyed lounging by the pool , altogether a beautiful place to stay only made even better by the lovely owner Diane d’Halloy who lives in the big house which is like something out of a fairy tale, she was so lovely, kind and helpful that i could have taken her home with me , would definitely recommend this place if your looking for a real piece of France.
