Maison St Rémy de Provence, private swimming pool, Home cinema, pretty garden

Thank goodness for the air conditioners in the downstairs living/kitchen room and in the upstairs bedrooms. The master bedroom has window screens. Mosquitos are plenty in this region. The pool is nice. We used it numerous times. The owners are extremely friendly and conversational. The rental residence is part of a large, connected building with a small hotel on the western side and two residences on the east and north. The owners occupy one of these so they are very attentive and responsive. The owner’s tips were helpful and their service was impeccable. The unit is clean, cared for, yet comfortably simple with modern fixtures. It has office space upstairs. We cooked nearly every night at the house so the kitchen had plenty of space, pots, good knives. The unit is 2 km from St Remy center. We didn’t walk as the roads barely had shoulders and the speed limits normally ignored. Driving to town is so simple. And we drove to the Intermaché to shop at the tiny veg store in its parking lot. We used our car daily. There’s plenty of metered parking just off the main road into town (from the house). So easy. Overall, a great week and stay at the house.

Excellent séjour dans cette jolie maison, très propre, bien équipée (climatisation, bonne literie), et décorée avec goût. Avec ces détails chaleureux qui font que l’on s’y sent un peu chez soi : jolie vaisselle, livres et films à disposition, ... Petit jardin bien aménagé avec sa terrasse ombragée et la piscine ensoleillée. Propriétaires sympathiques et accueillants. Nous y avons passé une belle semaine de vacances, à proximité immédiate de St Rémy de Provence et des sites de balade et de visite des Alpilles.

This property was just as advertised. Located just a very short drive (1 minute) from the center of St Remy de Provence. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house very very clean upon our arrival. Veronique was very responsive to any questions I had during my stay. Would recommend to anyone!

Nous sommes arrivés lors de la canicule et je vous assure que la fraîcheur (climatisation et l'épaisseur des murs en pierre de ce Mas a été une bénédiction ; Passé ce laps de temps, nous avons été ravis par une décoration de caractère avec des meubles anciens, une décoration recherchée avec tous les équipements de qualité que cela soit dans la cuisine et les autres pièces. Une propreté que j'ai fortement apprécié avec tout le nécessaire (épices, huile d'olive, produits ménagers etc) dans la cuisine en attendant de faire les courses. Quelle délicate attention que ces échantillons pour la douche à la verveine dans chaque salle de bain ;) Quel plaisir de regarder la télévision, les DVD sur un écran géant avec une multitude de DVD, livres à disposition comme à la maison. Les commerces sont vraiment à coté, un Intermarché fort bien achalandé et lorsque l'on se renseigne une très bonne boulangerie pas très loin. J'invite celles et ceux qui visiteront cette si belle ville de Saint Rémy de Provence de se renseigner sur les excellents commerces qui ont ravi nos papilles. L’accueil a été très sympathique et chaleureux, nous nous sommes sentis tout de suite comme chez nous et il a été très difficile de quitter cette superbe demeure au bout d'une semaine, mais je crois bien que nous y reviendront tant la région regorge de petits villages et de sites plus beaux les uns que les autres. Mon seul regret est de ne pas avoir pu rencontrer la propriétaire des lieux qui n'a pas pu être là pour nous accueillir, mais je peux vous dire, que pour l'avoir eu plusieurs fois au téléphone, que j'ai eu affaire à une personne de confiance soucieuse de notre bien être. Voyez vous, toutes ces choses font que cette demeure mérite bien un titre d'exception. Merci Véronique et à bientôt dans votre si belle région.

Five retired teacher spent six nights here. We came a late on a Thursday, grocery markets were closed. The owner, Veronique, stocked us with breakfast items. Could not have asked for better place. We met Veronique's husband Guy on our last night. Great conversations about why in the world does America have so many guns! Thank you Guy and Veronique for making your place feel like home. Highly recommend to anyone. Absolutely nothing negative, all positive. merci

This home was perfect; even more beautiful than the photos! The location was ideal for us, quiet, yet close to Saint Remy and grocery stores. We loved the garden setting so much that we ate all of our dinners outside looking at the pretty pool and trees. The home's high ceilings, wooden beams, large rooms with so much natural light, beautifully finished 3.5 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, washer, and reliable Internet all make this a home to which we hope to return. The owners, Veronique and Jean Guy, were extremely responsive during the reservation process and attentive and accommodating during our stay. We enjoyed Saint Remy, especially the Van Gogh connections and Glanum; the walk from town to Glanum was lovely. Drives and visits to Arles and Chateauneuf du Pape were easy and enjoyable. This is our family's favorite HomeAway/VRBO stay ever!

We stayed here for two weeks in July 2014 and liked it so me we ended up staying for an extra week! With two young children (7 and 9), some days were just spent relaxing by the poolside. Before we even arrived, our host, Véronique, had been most helpful with providing information on transport and the surrounding areas. The house itself has a modern renovation but still retains the charm of yesteryear. It is very well maintained and equipped with all the conveniences you would expect, and more. Location is great and you can explore the nearby attractions of Provence with ease and even take a trip the South Coast as we did. Véronique and her family made us feel like special guests and we would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a great spot to stay.
