maison tranquille en bord de Dordogne proche Saint Emilion

We were on a house hunting expedition and stayed with Corinne and Alain for 2 weeks. They are the kindest nicest people you shall ever meet. Their property is in fabulous setting by the river and laden with flowers and herbs. Quiet and tranquil. Peaceful. If you love to cook outdoors, the bbq set up is fantastic. There are 2 great butchers close by and a patisserie. Lots of daily markets in different villages close by and stores like carrefour and Intermarche for other items. Lots of hot water for showers and well equipped kitchen. Lots of glasses and plates. Nothing else to say except we bought a home and intend to stay in contact as friends in the future. Best hosts and people ever. Beautiful property and setting.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was so quiet and comfortable and a great base for exploring the area. Our host, Corrine was very kind and thoughtful. We loved her fig jam - delicious. Despite the rain, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed our walks along the Dordogne.

Great few days near St Emilion. Quiet spacious home and an easy drive to wineries.

Nice quiet location.plenty of outside space

First of all I have to say A Gros Merci to Corinne and Alain. They were so helpful and generous. Lovely people!! The house was beautiful and well equipped. We had everything we could possibly need. There were plenty of recommendations for things to do in the area and lots of brochures that really helped us plan our day. The area around the house, the patio, and the views were absolutely beyond beautiful. Cute little town of Castllion nearby, vineyards to choose from and close proximity to St. Emilion. Highly recommend this place!!

The house has been well renovated to a high standard. It is very comfortable and in a great location so that there is peace and quiet but still close to all attractions. The hosts are friendly and left us really good provisions to get started and a welcome pack including wine and necessities. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend this lovely and convenient place as a home base for exploring the bordeaux region. Corinne and Allain are so friendly, and the property is beautiful, comfortable, peaceful, and well equipped.
