😢: On 12 July, my wife and I checked into the property via self-service. Unfortunately, the overpowering smell at the property was unbearable, reminiscent of smelly socks and sewage. We also had some hygiene and safety concerns as you can see in the picture - it might have been rot and mold, contributing to the smell. I immediately reported this to the property owner via WhatsApp. The owner advised us to open the window. However the smell was so strong that opening the window could not fix it immediately. Furthermore, it’s next to the road and opening the window meant significant noise pollution and dust. The solution offered was not viable and did not resolve the issue. The owner was also not able to come over in person to deal with the situation. We ended up leaving because it was simply inhabitable. Booking.com Customer Service has also been very disappointing due to inconsistent information, lack of resolution, and failure to honour a promised refund. This is my first experience booking via Booking.com and it'll be my last..
