Lovely property and a great place to base yourself to explore the local area. The kids enjoyed the pool

We have all had an amazing time at this property. Stephanie was fantastic with communication in the run up to our trip, and once we arrived we couldn't have had a better time. The location was ideal and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax and spend time together. I miss it already!

We spent a perfect week with family and friends and our dogs at the house. We took superbe walks in the beautiful woods surrounding the house and visited some of the amazing castles in Loire valley.

A great property for large group, ideal for multiple families. Superbly peaceful location but close to many sights in the region. Large bedrooms and bathrooms, and spacious living areas.

We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with three generations of our family (7 adults and 4 children). Gite des Orfeuilles met and exceeded our expectations. The setting is remote but incredibly tranquil, secluded and beautiful. It is a bit of a trek to the nearest supermarkets but we somehow turned this into an 'event'. Daily bread deliveries are reliable and early - and we discovered that the boulangerie also makes fantastic croissant, pain au chocolate and other goodies. . The gite complex offered everything we needed to be self-contained and fully occupied. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, so the pool was in constant use, but there were plenty of other diversions on offer for our grandchildren (such as boule, tennis, fishing, table tennis and space for the many games we brought with us) - and the separation from neighbours meant we never worried about the noise the kids made. The situation is also perfect for outings to sightsee, canoe and soak up the Loire/Cher region. Stephanie and David are charming, attentive and effective hosts. The arrival chat was friendly, informative and helpful, as were the information book and tourist leaflets in the house. Later in the week minor problems were quickly and effectively resolved without fuss. Checking out was straightforward - and it felt a little like saying goodbye to newly made friends. If this is the sort of break you are looking for, I can't recommend it highly enough; we loved it..

This house was perfect for a big family gathering. The pool was great, the house was well stocked with plates and glasses etc. and having two separate houses made it very easy for all age groups. Large comfy beds, lots of bathrooms. Thank you!

The property is ideal for families with 2 spacious homes to allow for great family enjoyment. We all enjoyed the large property and especially the pool where the kids spent a lot of their time. You must order the baguettes and the croissants to complete the experience. Stephanie and David are excellent hosts.

We stayed at this beautiful house with four adults and two children and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. The property beautifully set in the forest, but a short drive from everything the local area has to offer. Stephanie was a wonderful host and great communication throughout. The children loved the pony riding at the beautiful equestrian centre next to the property. High recommend.
