Manoir au coeur du triangle d or au Touquet

😊: The house met all expectations for a group of 8 people, well appointed, living space is very comfortable and spacious, bedrooms are excellent, some more so than others which is to be expected, only downside for some was not being allowed to BBQ for health and safety/insurances purposes. Otherwise no negatives. Host manager Thibaut was very responsive and helpful.. 😢: Nothing.

😊: Fantastic location and huge house that was great for large extended families. Great for kids as the back of the garden has a gate (locked unless you use key) out to the park behind. Fantastic restaurants and shops. 😢: No real family sitting areas downstairs other than around kitchen/dining room table. Would have been great at night to be able to have sofa area for adults to sit (otherwise sitting area was up on top floor where the children were sleeping). Bathrooms were a definite minus to the house with wires sticking out of walls and toilets in corridors in quite a few of the rooms which was disappointing (had read this on other reviews) and they were old and not particularly nice Nothing seemed very well maintained - kitchen chairs wicker was coming undone and the oven extractor was impossible to use as broken away from its holding. However it is a wonderful house that could definitely have money spent on it to enrich the experience and its worth. Owner very good at getting someone out to mend a broken toilet which was well received and delightful ladies that we requested to do morning tidy ups /bed /bathroom cleaning - as with 12 guests it wouldn’t have been a holiday without it.

😊: The villa was fantastic and almost perfect for our party of 9 aging golfers. It was in a central location within Le Touquet, with easy access on foot to shops, restaurants and the beach. Although not stated, we managed to park all three of our cars on the property, avoiding the paid parking on the street.. 😢: The only surprise was that the master bedroom, en-suite with a large separate dressing room, did not actually contain a toilet, although this was just an idiosyncratic feature of this wonderful, characterful old building..
