MANOIR on the banks of the Erdre river

We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful property in a stunning location! It really is a special place and we’d love to come back again.Just a couple of things to mention that might help future guests: bed linen and towels aren’t included (we only found this out the week before and ended up paying extra for linen). The billiards table is actually French billiards rather than a pool table (also mentioned in listing - would recommend removing this) which our younger family members were a bit disappointed about. The house is lovely, but there are quite a lot of personal belongings in the wardrobes and cupboards, so space for hanging longer clothes is a little limited as rails are provided along with drawers. The bathrooms were all clean and in good order, though the kitchen could have been a touch cleaner. Luckily the weather was amazing, so we spent most of our time outside enjoying the sunshine, walks, and the river for kayaking.All in all, it’s a really happy, memorable place to stay — we made some lovely memories here and would definitely love to return! The history of the area itself and the house is fascinating. Anyone looking to book here won’t be disappointed. Whilst some people have commented on it being rural, it is around 15 minutes walk to the train station to get to Nantes and there are plenty of other places to visit on foot or by car

The house is beautifully located next to a river. You can sit in front of the house at the river or on the garden side where also the pool is located. The pool is great for small kids because they cannot get into the pool without the stairs. The tennis court even makes it even more great because with the big garden place the house offers you do not even need to go anywhere. Nantes is easy to reach by car and also a great city to visit. We had a great stay at the La Chapelle-sur-Erdre

We where late arriving, forgot about the one hour forward it made no difference to the owners they made us feel welcome. Would recommend to anyone

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. There was everything we needed - tennis court, swimming pool, row boat, pool table, ..... We highly recommend this house for anyone that enjoys relaxing on the waterfront, in a beautiful house, with a wonderful yard.

We have had a loverly time here at the Manor. The gardens were perfect to capture the dappled shade or a relaxed afternoon in the sun or take a swim. The facilities at the house were fantastic, including the use of the boat on the river. We had a fantastic meal at Le Bouquet Garni, the menu, service and food were excellent..... This is one of those houses which you instantly fall in love with and in which you feel immediately at home. The nice swimming pool, the boat, the tennis court and the proximity of the wonderfull city of Nantes are the perfect combination for a great holiday. The owners also take great care of keeping the house in perfec tshape with eye for all details that fit in this little " chateau" at the river. It was our honour for being your guest.

Nous sommes très heureuses pour avoir choisi Manoir au Bord de l'erdre! Tout était parfait - le lieu avec des châteaux autour de la propriété, le fleuve et le jardin, excellent pour ceux avec des enfants ou juste pour profiter de la nature. Et bien sur le manoir meme était très comfortable and beau. Vraiment il n'y a des mots que excellent! Nous conseillons Manoir au Bord de l'erdre aux tous, il a fait notre voyage incroyable :-)
