mansions - 5 rooms - 7/8 persons

This house is a true gem and it was hard to leave. The location is perfect (just steps away from local shops), the house is breezy and cool, rooms spacious and clean, view from the house sublime, garden a perfect place to play (there are a lot of games for children), and the hosts were a dream. We rented Le Petit Fort as a place to escape from Paris and work remotely and we couldn't have picked a better place. It exceeded our expectations and we plan to come back every year. "A perfect French holiday house does not exist. That is what I thought after going there for about 25 years.It is also the charm of going there. Arriving in Entrains sur Nohain I found that the house was even better than it looked in the pictures shown here. The interior is modern style and decorated with taste, but preserving the charm of an old French house. The place was superb. The next day we found out, to my relief, that there was no hot water.It appeared that the brand new(!)boiler had some software problems, the curse of modern equipment. I was already boiling lots of water to fill up the tube, not for the first time in France. The plumber was on holiday, but she is the type of woman that does not leave before the problem is solved. And so she did. After a very pleasant stay,I can recommend this place to anyone for a nice and quiet stay in the French countryside."
