😢: Hello, I would like to report an incident of highly unprofessional, sub-standard, and dangerous accommodation service while booking an apartment in St. Tropez on 27-28 June from MarinesAppartement. I had made and paid for the booking on the afternoon of 27 June through Booking.com. I then left Monaco by car to arrive at the property in St. Tropez. While on the road, Marines Appartement started calling me on whatsapp in order to demand that I pay an additional 300 EUR security deposit, although this requirement was not indicated on the booking platform. I did not answer the calls because I was busy driving; however, the hotel continued calling and sending messages incessantly over a period of an hour. They were seriously distracting me from driving and creating a dangerous situation on the highway. I had to ask my girlfriend, who was seated in the passenger seat, to turn off my phone. When we finally arrived at the property we could not find the check-in area, any representatives of Marines Appartement, or our room. I began to call MarinesAppartement by whatsapp and mobile phone so that they could guide me to the room. Despite multiple calls and messages, no one from the hotel answered my calls. Their only reply was that I need to check the instructional messages that they had earlier sent me by whatsapp. However, the apartment was not street facing, had no signs around it, and was therefore very difficult to find without assistance. MarinesAppartement did not offer any assistance and my girlfriend and I were forced to run around for roughly 40 min under the sun and 35 degree heat and carrying our baggage until we finally found the apartment. Then we could not open the door, because it turned out that Marines Appartement was not willing to give us the key password until we had paid the 300 eur security deposit which, as I had previously mentioned, was not advertised in advance on the booking platform..
