😊: + The area of Gigaro is very beautiful, with a wonderful sea and beach. + There are good restaurants nearby. + The holiday home has a certain charm. + The kitchen and electrical appliances are excellent. + When the Wi-Fi didn’t work, the landlady reacted immediately and helped to set it up. + Close to the beach.. 😢: A very unpleasant surprise for me was the landlord’s demand for additional payments just a few days before arrival. Although Booking.com clearly stated that the accommodation price was “including all taxes and fees”, the landlady still requested the payment of a city tax. On top of that, there was an extra charge for the use of the air conditioner. This resulted in a considerable additional amount. Since the price became too high, we had to give up using the air conditioner – although this was one of the main reasons why we chose this property in the first place. In the accommodation description, it is very well hidden that the AC is only available for an additional fee. At the end of our stay, the amount for the “City Tax” was deducted once again from the deposit. I had to make sure not to pay it twice. After some effort, the amount was refunded, but it caused unnecessary worries. Other critical points: - The pool is nice but so far away that we only went there once, as you have to walk uphill. - The holiday cottage is very small and overloaded with decorative items. - There are hardly any options to spread out or hang up your belongings. - One of the bedrooms and bathrooms is extremely cramped. - There are no wardrobes or proper hooks; the few existing holders hardly stay on the wall. - On arrival, the toilet smelled strongly of sewage. - At the landlady’s request, we watered the flowers, which we never even saw. - St. Tropez is at least a 30-minute drive from the location. In reality, it takes 45 minutes to an hour due to constant traffic jams..
