Mazot Xel-Ha, 4 pers, Les Aravis

We have just returned from a perfect week at La Mazot which has great views across the valley to the slopes of la Clusaz in the distance. We can not think of any significant critisicm of this place, from the host's welcome to the standard of the chalet. The photos do not do it justice as it is bigger than we expected with lots of little touches that make it a great choice to stay. I suspect we will visit again some day!

Overall we were very satisfied with the chalet, and with its position. One small reservation would be to point out to older clients that getting up to the sleeping platform and into bed was somewhat hazardous. The foot of the bed was so close to the top of the steps that it was quite difficult to get round to either side of the bed, and that the very restricted head-height meant you frequently bumped your head when on the sleeping platform. Getting up in the night to go to the bathroom was a challenge! However the bed itself was very comfortable! One other disappointment was that the sofa-bed in the living room was very uncomfortable to sit on, and there was no room for other armchairs.

My family had a wonderful week in the mazot. It was perfect for our needs, it was clean with everything we needed to be self sufficient for the whole week.The surrounding area is beautiful with a great sledging field across the road where the kids could play as we watched from the balcony. Julie was a wonderful and welcoming host, she was most accommodating and responded to many questions I had prior to our arrival. We would not hesitate to use again for a skiing trip to la clusaz! It was as advertised, after a disappointing stay at another property in France it was just what I needed. Super friendly hosts who take great pride in the property and what it has to offer. Would definitely return if in the area again and cannot thank the hosts enough for making my holiday so enjoyable.

..spend 10 days cycling holiday in this nice ,beautifully located chalet 2 k uphill from st.jean de sixt ! didn´t miss anything... very friendly owner , love to stay there in the middle of the mountains wonderful region must come back Dirk germany

The accommodations at Le Mazot more than exceeded our expectations. Julie and Eric did a great job decorating and making this little chalet extremely functional and cozy. We felt right at home at this chalet. Kitchen, bathroom , sleeping area, appliances and furniture are all in fairly new condition and very clean. The separate living room also has a small wood burning chimney. What more could you ask for? We even had a large semi private balcony to enjoy. Julie provided everything necessary to enjoy a stay at their beautiful chalet. The pictures clearly show what the chalet is like. The location is great, close to La Clusaz and other places to shop or dine. It was very quiet and we had a great time. Julie was easy to contact and is a wonderful hostess. We hope to return soon and can highly recommend Le Mazot. Merci beaucoup!
