We had a great stay. The place was clean and spacious and is very well located.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Pentes de la Croix-Rousse. The hosts were very responsive to the service issues that came up during our stay. The apartment is cute and comfortable and decently stocked to prepare simple meals. You do need to be in good shape because the apartment is a 4th floor walkup and it is halfway up a mountain from the center city. The positive is that it is also halfway down the mountain from the Croix-Rousse metro station. Also, be cautious of the beams above the bed. They are much lower than you think.

Overall, the experience was positive! The unit itself was wonderful, and beautiful! There were some things that could’ve been a bit better, more towels, more dish rags, a bit cleaner. The hosts were very communicative and allowed us to check in early. Just as a heads up, for those traveling with older folks or young kids, the unit is on the fourth floor (fifth floor for US folks) with some large staircases between floors.

😊: The apartment itself is decorated nicely, the location is great; has plenty of great bars and restaurants around, and is pretty quiet at night.. 😢: The apartment specifically advertises as having luggage storage. They do not offer this, we contacted them ahead of our stay to ask how we could drop our bags to be told they don't do that and we'd need to pay and find another company to do this. This was extremely disappointing because one of the reasons we had chosen this place was this facility, and they admitted to lying on the listing when asked about this. When we arrived the bathroom was completely flooded and smelt horrific, the host was impossible to get hold of when called and we had to deal with this for 50% of our stay. the floor was super slippy, and it's extremely unpleasant trying to use a toilet or shower and walking through a flooded room. We had to waste a night of our holiday calling the hosts and booking.com to try and resolve the issue which is really disappointing, and their idea of resolving the issue was to mop the floors up, leave a dripping wet bathmat to dry across the only toilet and to leave a wet mop by the apartment door, the smell also hadn't gone and we had to deal with that for the rest of our stay. Overall I wouldn't encourage anyone to stay here, the hosts were extremely unhelpful and there are other places within a similar location which are cheaper and better serviced..

Un appartement superbe où l’on se sent comme chez soi..
