😊: Well-equipped, big apartment and very central.. 😢: I had to wait almost 2 hours on the street to get in. Double doors were locked and the key was inside the house, it took a lot of time that they understood the issue and at the end someone had to come with a spare key to let me in. Also, the elevator was out of order during my whole stay and the apartment is on the 6th floor! It meant a lot of stairs. Moreover, communication with the owner/agency is very bureaucratic, it helps if someone understands French. There is a high deposit too, which isn’t clearly communicated..

The management company, Cotoon was very responsive, thankfully, because on our arrival, the door locks were very finicky and difficult to unlock. They walked us through it and after 10 minutes of trying we were in! The property was clean but the kitchen was not well stocked in terms of glasses and mugs. The shower is a “shower room” so everything gets wet and we really did not like it. There were no instructions as to how to operate the TV but after some tries we figured it out. The bed is very low but actually quite comfortable. We were not able to adjust the heat and were a little cold. The living room furniture is not comfortable and the toilet seat was detached from the toilet. Overall, some minor annoyances but overall served the purpose of a good nights sleep and in an excellent location, less than 10 minutes walk from the rail station and Petite France.
😊: - The entry and key pickup, check-in and check-out were flawless, very clear instructions received beforehand. The customer service was excellent, they replied on short notice, were friendly and helpful. - The location of the flat is unbeatable, you can reach practically everything on foot, the cathedral is around 15 min. by walk, Le Petit France is 5 minutes. The tram stops right at the entrance of the flat, it can be a bit loud, but not really disturbing. - The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, and there are cleaning devices as well as hairdryer, etc. - When we asked, the agency provided a baby chair, and there were kid's books and puzzles and some toys in the flat, I found it very nice.. 😢: - The cleanliness was not satisfactory at all. We went there with our one year old baby, stayed fr 2 weeks. My baby crawled under the table, couch etc. and found fake lashes, pieces of wire and pieces of balloons, amongst other things. - The flat itself could really use a renovation. The flat itself is on the 6th floor, the elevator is tiniest I have ever seen: you can barely fit in two adults, let alone a baby stroller. Plus the elevator is extremely loud, you can hear it well in the flat. I would NOT recommend this flat to stay with a baby, only with older kids. - The shower is opening directly from the bedroom, so whoever stays there, has to deal with the others in the flat entering the shower through his/her bedroom, it has no separate entrance. Also not suitable for baby bathing..
My adult daughter and I came to France on holiday. We unexpectedly spent the whole quarantine lockdown in the apartment. I appreciated it's run by a professional management company that's available to answer questions and deal with problems in English 24/7. They were very responsive. The kitchen is well equipped. I was able to cook from scratch nightly. There's a chain grocery and inexpensive halal store on the block. We ate breakfast from the bakery across the street. There are many specialty food groceries around the train station neighborhood. The view from the living room is across the historic roof tops. In the back, the bedroom has a balcony. The kitchen counter doubles as workspace. There's also a desk and chair in the bedroom. The furnishings are showing some wear, but are solid. For longer term rentals, it's more ideal for a single person or a couple. There are sliding panels to separate the bedroom, not a solid door. Also, while there's a small elevator it's not suited for mobility impaired. The shower is a step up, for example. Overall, we had a great stay under difficult circumstances. I appreciated the view of birds and the sky during confinement. Also, the sleeping areas are nicely separated from each other at opposite ends of the apartment. We booked the apartment to be close to the trains. It's an ideal location for day trips to leave early in the morning and arrive back late at night without having to take an additional tram or bus home. There were some minor maintenance issues that couldn't be addressed due to the lockdown. I'm only giving location 4 stars because some problems developed on the street during quarantine. My daughter and I never had personal issues. Also, it may perk up once all the businesses are reopened and life gets back to normal.
