Moulin de la Belle Gasconne

We had the most wonderful time staying at the Moulin. The house is very comfortable, everything works well and there was loads of space for a family of 6 and so many bathrooms. Marie Claude is an incredibly lovely and fascinating hostess. She was so kind and helpful and made sure we had a perfect time. The commercial kitchen was a dream to cook in using beautiful veg from her garden. The walk in fridge was so luxurious - so cold and massive! The swimming pool was very clean / free of bugs all the time and we spent a lot of time in there. There was also a cooking area by the pool with a charcoal bbq and even better a gas plancha. The village of Poudenas has a tiny shop and her son owns the delicious pizza restaurant. We absolutely loved this holiday! Thank you Marie Claude.

We returned this year after visiting twice more than 20 years ago. It felt like coming home. Marie-Claude is the loveliest host you could wish for. The old Mill is just a fantastic building. It has everything you could wish for. We didn't want to leave and hope that we can return again soon.

The stay could not have been better. The photos do not do justice to the place. The mill is amazing. The location is gorgeous, by the river with a view on an old stone bridge from the living room. Each bedroom has an individual bathroom. And the best is the way we were welcomed. Highly recommend.

This property is perfect for a quiet family holiday or for those with larger groups. The property is old and has plenty of character for those searching for a authentic French experience. The property is more suitable for those families with older children due to the location on the river and with the pool being slightly removed from the house. The property owner could not be more hospitable and welcoming. The house is set in a quiet & stunning rural village with a fabulous pizza restaurant (pay by cash only) with people from surrounding villages traveling to eat there. The pristine pool is set on a spacious private island next to the house. There is plenty of seating and games such as a ping pong table. The pool house has a fridge, BBQ and everything you need to spend the day relaxing.

Lovely property in a splendid location. The owner, Rey, looked after us 100% and really made our stay memorable. We hope to return to this beautiful place again. Thank you.

C’est une maison incroyable qui a tout le charme de l’ancien , tout en étant très confortable. Idéale pour un séjour en famille et pour des amoureux cuisiniers : la cuisine est impressionnante, mais nous avons aussi profité de la piscine très grande au calme , des chambres d’un très grand confort , et aussi du charme du paysage du pays dAlbret . Mais plus que tout il y a l’accueil attentionné et chaleureux de Marie Claude qui nous accueille dans sa maison mais aussi dans son village . Bref un tres joli endroit pour tous ceux qui aiment le calme, la nature et découvrir de très jolis villages aux alentours .

We had a really great week at Poudenas. We were two families with young children and two grandparents and we all had a fantastic time. The pool is private and spacious and the mill itself is perfectly equipped to cater for large numbers. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and there is lots of space for the group to be together or spend time separately. Its in a beautiful location and we would definitely return again if we can. Much enjoyed by all for a relaxing, and very enjoyable holiday.

Poudenas is a pretty little village and the Property is located next to the river. The Property is fully equipped with a fantastic kitchen and other facilities. We received a warm welcome and Marie visited us everyday to check that everything was fine. Thank you for having us
