😊: Beautiful, modern chalet in a very quiet place with huge windows and amazing panoramic views of the mountains and Mont Blanc. Lovely design and decor and immaculately clean. The facilities were great, the little dishwasher and washing machine were very useful and parking was easy, under the cabin. We even had a couple of local, ice cold beers in the fridge on arrival. The mezzanine room is great with two beds and beanbags, our teens loved it. The owners live right next door and are so lovely and welcoming, we would like to go back and take advantage of the bike tours one day. We were there in a bit of a heatwave and spent every evening on the balcony after the days of walking in the mountains using the cable cars and ski lifts. You can walk to Le Prarion and Bellevue from the chalet in about 25 mins, but it is quite steep on the way back. There's an excellent little Carrefour Contac a few mins drive away in Les Houches (avoid the SuperU bunfight!). We used the Carte D'hotes card for free train travel and parked at Les Houches train station quite easily at 8am in peak season. We were a little worried about being out of town, but having been to Chamonix and other surrounding places, especially in the summer, we were so pleased to get back to our quiet little chalet, cook a simple dinner and enjoy every evening playing games on the balcony with the amazing views. If you are going in Summer, I'd take a fan for the mezzanine room, but the rest of the house was cool thanks to the shutters which you leave down whilst you're out. At night, once the shutters are down, you can have the windows open all night as it's so quiet, and you get a lovely breeze. Made lovely family memories and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.. 😢: Nothing!.
