😊: A beautiful, clean and safe house. We enjoyed our time there. The kids made use of the ball and played in the garden..

😊: New York House is in a quiet neighbourhood next to mainly farmland (although it is very close to the flight path into/out of Orly airport), with reasonably easy access by car to a railway station for a metro trip to Paris centre and surrounds. The house is small and slightly cramped, but has three bedrooms (one in the attic on the 3rd floor), a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a second toilet downstairs. The main bedroom bed is soft and comfortable, but the other beds are short and less comfortable. The house served out purpose as a quiet base from which to explore Paris, but it was not entirely comfortable.. 😢: Communication from the host/caretaker is poor, and cleaning/caretaking is not up to the standard that we experience with other properties in this price/comfort range on Booking. We had to message after arrival to ask for the gate and door codes, which took a while. Despite the host's assurances that there were mechanical keys on the table, there were none. We could not open the gate to the driveway during the entire stay, and had to leave the car in the street. Upon arrival, there were also no towels (despite it being part of the booking), and we had to request these from the host. Towels were delivered later in the evening, but the gate key was never provided. We were informed later that the previous guests left with the key, but no copy was ever provided. There was clean bedding, and the bathrooms and waste bins were cleaned, but the floors and dishes were dirty upon arrival, and spider webs, crumbs and dust bunnies behind most doors and in corners hint at superficial cleaning. There was old food (open bread, etc.) left in the cupboards, and broken glasses on the garden path. We stayed during a summer week with temperatures peaking between 30C and 35C, and the third bedroom in the attic was far too hot to use. The house has no aircon, and the attic has no windows. The other bedrooms were fine as long as we kept the windows open all night..

😊: We arrived by car, and this place turned out to be the perfect mix of comfort and convenience. The house is located just outside the city — peaceful and quiet, yet only 10 minutes from the center thanks to the nearby park & ride. Shops and restaurants are close by, which makes everything easy. The house itself is cozy, modern, and thoughtfully designed — a spacious living room, a well-equipped kitchen, and three comfortable bedrooms. The automatic heating system kept us perfectly warm, even during chilly nights. A big thank-you to Sofia for her attention and kindness — you can feel that everything was prepared with care and heart 💫 We’ll definitely come back with the whole family — it’s so convenient to reach both the airport and local attractions. Thank you, Sofia, for creating a true home away from home!. 😢: -.

😊: The house was comfortable and convenient to reach Versailles and the centre of Paris. We parked our car at Orsay Ville and got the RER B into central Paris. The train stops at Notre Dame and only costs 2.50 Euros per person for a one way ticket. Versailles is approx 30 mins drive away. Shops & restaurants available a few minutes away in Les Ulis. There is secure parking at the house and WiFi is included. Fans were available in all the bedrooms which was good as it was quite hot during our stay. The village is quiet & rural so you will need a car.. 😢: Whilst the kitchen has plenty of crockery, cups, saucepans etc there are no cooking utensils which is a shame. There is a dishwasher but you will need to supply your own dishwasher tablets. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor & 1 bedroom on the second floor. The bedroom on the second floor has no window so gets quite warm. Some lightbulbs need to be replaced & the stair handrail needs repairing but otherwise the house is in good condition..
