Nice manor house with swimming pool in the heart of Touraine

We had a fantastic week relaxing at the house and by the pool (when the weather allowed). We were greeted upon arrival by Sylvie and she was close by if we needed anything. We also briefly met Jean Marie and Muriel who were very pleasant. The house has everything you need including a child gate for the stairs (we have a two yr old). It was our fourth time to the Loire and the best property we have stayed at by far - so clean and spacious. The views from the property are picturesque. The courtyard of buildings are beautiful. The external dining space is very private. There’s also a covered external games room and plancha (bbq). It is in the middle of nowhere but that’s what we wanted - it may be too isolated for some. To get into the village you have to drive or cycle as it is 5-10mins from the property. Abilly is very quiet but pretty. It has a baker and convenience store but shopping-wise that’s about it. You need to drive to Descartes if you want to do a proper shop (there is an intermarche there). Chattelleraux isn’t far if you want to go to a nearby town. It has a leisure centre which we went to on the rainy day here. If you want to go and relax for a week and not do too much - then this place is great. Any of the tourist hot-spots like the chateau at Villandry or Zooparc du Beauval (which we go to once a year) are an hour away by road.

super gîte malgré la difficulté à les différencier (2 gîtes) donc nous étions bien installés en rapport au code qui nous avait été communiqué mais l'autre gîte portait également le même code et avons dû déménager mais le propriétaire est très sympathique. Petit bémol, un vrai manque de vaisselle et le mobilier a bien vécu. N'empêche nous avons passé une excellente semaine en Bretagne. Merci Marcus et à bientôt peut-être

La maison est grande, charmante, calme et pratique avec une vue sur le très beau manoir. Le musée d Abilly (fouilles commentées) mérite vraiment d être vu. Merci à nos hôtes pour l'accueil. Merci en particulier pour la livre de ... ;o) Jcd

La maison des hirondelles à Abilly: un oasis de calme dans une ancienne demeure équipée aux normes de confort 2022. Comment ne pas être charmé par ce magnifique manoir, parfaitement entretenu avec ses espaces verts luxuriants, rénové et aménagé avec beaucoup de goût. Niché sur une colline offrant un panorama exceptionnel sur la vallée, le logis offre confort et quiétude, le bien-être du visiteur est la seule préoccupation des hôtes dont l'amabilité est également à noter. Un grand merci pour cette parenthèse ressourçante dans ce lieu d'exception.

Upon arrival, we were stunned by the beautiful buildings, hilltop location and delightful views. We were greeted by Gee who was charming and helpful and on-hand for any matters required. Our accommodation was beautifully presented, clean and with everything you could want for a relaxing week. Such a peaceful location for those seeking to unwind. The owner of the property was also friendly and made time to say 'hello'. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others looking for a high-quality base from which to explore the region. Tres charmant!

A really pretty manor as described. Nice location, big pool we could use for us. Totally charming hosts, warm hearted and welcoming. The location is a bit outside so very relaxing and calm. Clear: Worth to visit! Thanks a again!

The property is well appointed, set in a beautiful and tranquil location, ideal for exploring the surrounding area. The house is extremely well equipped and to a high standard. The interior design is very stylish and provides for your every comfort. Outside, there is a sunny private dining and lounge area, ideal for al fresco living. The pool is a generous size with plentiful sun loungers and parasols - we thoroughly enjoyed spending many happy hours in the water! Jean-Marie, Muriel and their family are charming and considerate hosts. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property!!!
