Noël 2026 - Eté 2027 Grande maison familiale 18 couchages

We stayed here for two weeks in August. Our two children and their partners and our two young grandchildren joined us for a week. The house easily absorbed us all and the grandchildren loved the toys and outside play equipment. The house is airconditioned, which given the 30 degrees plus temperature in August is essential. The pool is wonderful - heated and with shady areas to sit around. The grandchildren would be in it for two hours at a time, whilst it is long enough for adults to do lengths in. The location of the house midway between Arles and Nimes (20 minutes away) gives easy access to the Roman sites, and the Camargue with its Flamingoes is virtually on the doorstep. A car is essential as the nearest village is two and a half miles away, with a good cafe and boulangerie (the latter on the ring road at Bellegarde). Nature lovers will enjoy the wildlife - Egrets, Hoopoes, Rollers, Bee eaters, can all be seen from the pool, whilst Red Squirrel, Hegehog and Gecko can be seen in the garden, along with plenty of small frogs that fascinated the children. Jennifer and Sophie were both very helpful. We all had a very relaxing time and would highly recommend it as a place to stay. If you are English, check out Tarascon Castle nearby, with its 18th/19th century graffiti from English prisoners of war held there.

The house, garden and pool all stunning. Very well furnished to a high standard. The pool and pool area outstanding. Sophie was a fantastic host, booking restaurants, suggesting places to visit etc. went above and beyond the normal. The house is perfectly located to visit all the local areas, Nimes , Arles, Provence, pont du Gard, Camargue and only 45 mins to the beach and many many more places to visit if you have the time, You need a car as you would want to explore all that the area has to offer. The local town of Bellegarde has a fantastic restaurant L’Union cafe which we highly recommend. Can’t fault this place at all. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Bei der Ankunft waren wir ob der Lage zunächst geschockt. Auch der Garten um den Pool lässt zu wünschen übrig. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig, modern eingerichtet. Wurde vor 6 Jahren komplett renoviert. Küche mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. 2 große Kühlschränke mit Gefrierfach und Eiswürfelmaker. Herd (Induktion) Backofen, Mikrowelle. Waschmaschine und Trockner. Fliegengitter vor fast allen Fenstern. Elektrische Rollläden. Große Terrasse. Grillplatz mit Weber Kugelgrill (Holzkohle). Tischtennisplatte (in der Jahreszeit aufgrund vieler Blütenblätter so gut wie nicht zu nutzen. Pool war dreckig, musste ich 2 Tage erst einmal reinigen. Nachbarn haben Hunde die ständig auf dem Grundstück sind und hier auch ihr Geschäft verrichten, da dies nicht eingezäunt ist. Gleiches gilt für die vielen Katzen. Betreuung vor Ort vorbildlich und sehr freundlich. Haus liegt sehr abgelegen. Für alle Einkäufe, Restaurants und Aktivitäten wird ein Auto benötigt. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten im Umkreis von 30 km.

Beautiful house, fully equipped for your every need. Most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Pool is enormous and heated. Air con in every bedroom and also on the landing which directs to downstairs- if you keep outside door closed it keeps all downstairs cool too! Beautiful veranda for relaxing and eating. Ping pong for the teens. Huge tv and games selection. Lots of bathrooms, although en-suite have no loos - but not a problem. Bellegrade nearest small town, 10 minutes drive away (you definitely need a car) has Carrefore supermarket, amazing bakery and a green grocer. Ate one night in lovely restaurant “Cafe de L’Union” - delicious food and wine. Nimes only 20 minutes drive away - most incredible Roman buildings. Arles also 20 mins away worth it for another Roman colosseum and to visit Van Goghs cafe. Do’s - look in detail on map as to where the house is - don’t follow the sat nav as ours took us across country. Absolutely beautiful house!!
