The Hosts Michelle and Hubert were very friendly and helpful. The property is not a 3 bedroom gite but is divided up into two x two bedroom gites. There weren't any basics in the property when we arrived, not even salt of oil. Hubert said we should have brought towels and bed linen which wasn't stated in the property description. He did bring us bed linen and we had luckily brought two bath towels with us. The worst thing was the internet, which was not strong enough to be usable we manage 30 minutes on it once, Hubert and Michelle did try to get it working but without success. I don't believe it has ever worked as it should it is about 225 feet from the main house and the signal simply isn't strong enough to reach the gite. We actually left a week early, initially because of a family problem which was resolved, but it was so miserable there what with the rain and no internet we decided to go anyway. Not the worst place we have rented and there are some good points about it but it leaves quite a bit to be desired. Agon-Countainville is a nice enough seaside resort but there is hardly any mobile phone coverage. Anyone wanting to rent one of the co-joined gits should check it out thoroughly before commiting themsleves.

The apartment lacks nothing, everything is very convenient and comfortably furnished. A green garden full of scents, flowers and trees forms the courtyard of the property. The landlords are discreet and hospitable. They greeted us with a glass of home-made blackberry jam. The old farmhouse: A quiet retreat in a small village not far from the wide coast (15 minutes). An ideal place for lovers of mussels, crabs and oysters. The chickens cackle during the day and the eagle owl calls at night. Great. Thanks for the nice 10 days in Normandy, we will be back.
