Formidable! Wish we could have...<br>#128578; An unexpectedly exceptional experience in an expectedly fine location. On our first day of rental car travel through rural France, and not knowing what to expect outside Paris, we lighted on this beautiful two-story duplex apartment. It was as picturesque as one could only hope to find in the home village of Claude Monet, whose own home was literally just steps away. The young owner, "AfAf," and her daughter greeted us at the door in English and helped us park in the small, gated ...<br>#128577; If we could think of something on site to improve on, we would. As things were, even the weather cooperated. Excepting the absence of a train station, Giverny, and especially the Orpheus Lodge, come highly recommended as the perfect pied a terre either on a short visit of homage to a monumental French artist or as a base for wider excursions in Normandy.

A rare find.<br>#128578; It was a peaceful location, yet within walking distance from Monet’s garden. It was immaculate and well appointed with very tasteful decorations and beautifully furnished. There was a very generous welcome pack of initial food items. The gardens were beautiful and there was secure off road parking. We had a very welcome.<br>#128577; Everything Was Perfect

Restful few days to re-charge...<br>#128578; The location was perfect, nice restaurants within walking distance, but your own balcony to relax and look out onto the lovely garden. Arrived late, so the host provided everything for a simple meal. Comfy bed, everything very clean.<br>#128577; Nothing to dislike.

Orpheus Lodge is the perfect...<br>#128578; The hosts were wonderful, and were extremely responsive in coordinating with our travel plans and our arrival time in Giverny. The property is in a perfect location for exploring the charming village of Giverny, and it is a few minutes walk to Monet’s gardens. The apartment was clean, and stocked with fresh fruit, bread, beverages and other staples of a proper French continental breakfast. We felt welcomed, and well-taken care of, and really enjoyed our time here.
