OSTAL CASSINIA

Un enchantement Nous avons loué le gîte pour un week-end ( du vendredi au dimanche) entre amis. Dès notre arrivée nous fûmes accueillis par la propriétaire des lieux d'une sympathie extraordinaire. Le gîte est merveilleux, tout n'est que bonheur pour les yeux autant l'extérieur que l'intérieur ( aménagé avec énormément de gout). La literie est de très bonne qualité. Il ne manque rien, que ce soit dans les chambres, la cuisine, la salle de bain, les toilettes... La salle avec le billard est géniale!! Malheureusement nous n'avons profité de la piscine que le vendredi soir après la pluie c'est invitée tout le week-end :(...c'est là que le billard nous a bien était utile...;). Un grand merci à Hélène pour sa gentillesse et ses conseils. Si nous avons l'occasion c'est avec un grand plaisir que nous louerons à nouveau ce gîte.

A fantastic gite with a great hostess An excellently furnished gite with every need catered for, a good sized garden with a lovely swimming pool. Situated in a very quiet village this is a real home from home. The views are spectacular especially those of the Pyrenees. The hosts could not be more welcoming, especially with half our party's very early morning arrival where they ensured we were welcomed and shownn around - way above what was expected!! My family came to St. Martory for my daughter's wedding. We stayed at Helene's Ostal Cassinia guest house which is only 10 minutes away from the Chateau. We could not have asked for a better location. Helene communicated with us before the visit to let us know all the great activities we could plan. She provided us with a personal tour of the historical property, which has been in her family for generations! Every room was comfortable and there was a wonderfully stocked kitchen for every meal (should you need it). The back yard is private, with a pool for fun. We had a chance to wander to the sheep farm for hand crafted cheeses as well as other provisions. The tranquility of the location made our trip to France extra special. I would recommend Ostal Cassinia guest house to anyone who is visiting the area. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for hosting us!!!

The Ostal Cassinia is an absolute gem, tucked on the edge of a small French village. The home is stately and has been updated where it needs to be modern. The pool is a welcome addition, large enough for a dip but no laps. The hosts are incredibly nice and helpful, with excellent communication. They truly want your experience to be the best it can be, and are always looking for ways to make the home rental better. They eagerly explained how to get to local markets, and even helped us get to a local auto repair shop when we got a flat tire (no easy feat on a Saturday afternoon at lunchtime.) Down the road is a fromagerie, where one can visit the sheep before sampling the cheese made from their milk. A short drive away (5-10 minutes) are villages of varied sizes, with hot springs, casinos, markets, etc. Our only regret was that our stay was so short. Had we known how special this place would be, we would have booked more than a couple of nights. This is a place to rent out for at least a week.
