OVERHANGING A RIVER, SHEPHERD'S HOUSE, AUTHENTIC, FAMILY-FRIENDLY, WIFI

The house is a nicely restored old building. It is charmingly decorated with old and new furniture. Downstairs is large living room which stays nice and cool in the hot summer months. Also a small kitchen and bathroom are downstairs. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, although they are completely open to each other. The house is located along a fairly quiet road, with a nice play to swim in the rivier a few minutes walk from the house. The river here is shallow, perhaps just over a meter deep at most, and flows quite fast. It is very refreshing to take a quick dip after a hot day. The area is well situated to visit Carcasonne and Limoux. There are various other attractions nearby, such as several abbeys and the Cathar castles. We enjoyed the underground river of the Labouiche cave, where you are transported on small boats in the cave.
