PALOMBAGGIA ,right on the waterfront, 5 minutes' walk . Superb sea view.

The house has wonderful location with a wonderful view over the nice beach with white sand and azur-blue sea. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean. The kitchen is functional and good. We'll come back, I'm sure.

I begin by saying, Corsica is not for everyone. The entire island is rustic, rugged, and filled with nature. However, once you make a decision to go to Corsica Blu di Mare should be on top of your list of places to stay. Firstly, it is located on one of the most beautiful beach's in Corsica, with its with soft white sand and water as blue as the Caribbean Sea. It truly is an amazing place. The beach itself is uncrowded and has a small beach club with several restaurants to choose from. To get to this beach from the villa, you have to walk down a private shaded path. It’s a 10 minute walk with stairs, but my one year old did seem to manage most of the walk. Blu di Mare is set on a hillside with two outdoor decks and a lower level patio. From the patio is the path to the beach. The views of the sea are amazing and not done justice by the owner's photos. With its east facing views, the decks are shaded and very comfortable in the afternoon. The villa itself in spacious with an open kitchen living area and a separate area for the bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms share an outside patio. The house itself is clean and easy to live in. Lastly, Vera the villa's owner, could not have been more hospitable in sharing her great knowledge of the island. We cannot thank her enough for everything. I have rented my share of winners and losers on VRBO and this house is a winner!! Btw, for first time visitors make sure to... 1) Drive to the mountains 2) Stroll the old section of Porto Vecchio (at night) and eat street side at Sous Le Tonelle 3) Michelin star meal eat at Casadelmar (amazing view/food) 4) Drink only wine from Patrimonio and 5) Avoid outside dinner at sunset, bees like to come out for a short time to see the sunset with you :-)
