Panoramic views of Monaco and the Mediterranean

This apartment is 5 narrow stories and the top floor has a gorgeous view (over the rooftops) of the church tower and the sea with Monaco off in the distance.Another review mentioned being careful with large luggage, and this is true. Keep your bags to carry-on size so that you can more easily navigate the spiral stairs that connect each level.Of course, these spiral stairs between each floor are part of the charm of this location, just like the stairs and winding streets are part of the charm of Roquebrune.It's located conveniently in the middle of the medieval town and when we visited the town's medieval chateau, we were able to look out from the ramparts and see the upper balcony of the apartment. We got some great pictures at that time since a few of our group stayed behind rather than visit the chateau.Wonderful location. I wish we could have stayed longer.

This is not just a house, it's also a nifty experience for certain travelers. It's in a storied village with an ancient tree, good restaurants and very friendly people. I would say that the listing doesn't fully describe some of the challenges of the house. It is a great space, but bookers should be aware that there is a bit more to consider.The house is located in what I would describe more as 'remote' as it is up winding and (at night) dark roads. I would not advise arriving after dark. There are great restaurants in the area and the parking lot filled up on Friday and Saturday night. There is also charging available. The view is on the top floor and to get to it, visitors must walk through one of the bedrooms. It's a very nice view.There are A LOT of stairs and older or very young people may have challenges climbing up and down. Our family does quite a bit of walking and exploring while on holiday. My son plays basketball and I am fit and we found ourselves sore and tired from the constant climbing to get into the village from the car park, up to the house through the village and up to our rooms. Heed the caution to bring light baggage and keep in mind that this is a very old home. My 6'8 son bashed his head in and found the small stairs quite a challenge.None of this is discouarge travelers!!! This is just more details on the house. It wasn't our preference and had we had more description, we would have booked a different place.

While this property has its charm the photos are a bit misleading. We did not understand we would be climbing so many narrow steep stairs up and down just to live in the space. One couple stayed on floor 4 with the en-suite bath, we stayed on floor 3 using the bath 2 floors down. Which was challenging at night. We are all around 70 years old and the climbing up and down, not to mention getting luggage up and then down was not easy. We also had very little hot water at night in the first floor bath. Hot water was no problem in the en-suite. The town is charming with good restaurants and a lovely small market. The people there were also very friendly and kind. Just be forewarned about the layout of this special place.

We really enjoyed staying in the car free village and the amazing view from the living room.

I want to start by saying we had a great time here and the view is as advertised, and there are many great amenities, such as the table you can attach to the balcony rail. However, I do feel it is my duty to let any prospective renter know of the idiosyncrasies of the apartment. Firstly, there are four flights of very steep, spiral stairs separating each room in the apartment, and you will be going up and down them constantly. Also there is no AC- only 2 fans- in the apartment. This made being in the apartment during the day quite brutal at times, as it was over 100 degrees some days and even warmer inside. They do provide good ventilation instructions which helps at night, but it will be hot during the day in the home. We found ourselves moving the 2 fans between rooms depending on where we were at the moment. In addition, you do have to be careful of using too much hot water, as it does run out relatively quickly and does not replenish for several hours. One more note, the bedrooms are quite small and the non-master bedroom is more suitable for children than fully grown adults. So, all that being said, hanging out on the balcony in the evening enjoying dinner or playing cards were a huge highlight and highly recommended. As long as you don’t have an issue with the above mentioned things, it is a great place to stay in Roquebrune!
